What a load of shite - been watching too much fast n furious, blue neons ffs:headbonk: Stick on tat is a good description. For me that exhaust with all it's infinite adjustability would be bloody pointless - couldn't be arsed with faffing around setting rev range for vales to be opened:crazy:

Can get a nice taste of the worst heal-toe I have ever done on a road course... OMG. Had some coordination issues that day...

As promised a bit of video of the shakedown day at Donington Park yesterday (15/5/17). Loved the car, really nice - so pleased I bought it. Only did about 35 laps over the day because of all the inevitable adjustments and tweaking, but lots of little things learnt ready for next time.
The Ricoh action camera and mountings worked well but even on HD settings it will only record a maximum of 10 mins at a time which is no good for track days, so it looks like I'm going to need to get a GoPro after all .... how annoying! Also found a great little smartphone app which is a GPS lap timer (and will also log data from the car via a bluetooth OBD reader) - really handy, however the organisers said no lap timing equipment allowed! Seems a bit strange when they were allowing full-house race cars and Radicals on track which had more data-logging and timing capability than NASA!
Anyway, enjoy .... and watch out for S550 interest!

The carnage that was Goodwood breakfast club super car Sunday. Apparently 970 super cars in the circuit and over 2000 cars in total.
And me at 3:13.

Can't be long before this all gets stopped. The knob in the BMW just before you wants twatting. Shame his number plate was fuzzed out.

(notably it's the non-supercars that behave like morons).

Looks awesome man, very smooth and looks like you got very lucky with the weather and how quiet it was.

Nice to see the Mustang as well, looks like your lapping in 1:28's so you've got a lot more time to find yet. :)

It was actually busier than it looks on the video - those laps were mid-afternoon and I think a lot of folks had already spent many laps thrashing around and were taking a bit of a breather ..... as you can see though there were still enough folks out there to get in the way. I really struggled to find a clear lap, it's not like a test day or qualifying where people tend to jump well out of the way and have to obey blue flags ..... and quite rightly, by the way - it's a track day not a race and people are there trying to enjoy themselves. We were quite lucky with the weather, although the camera does make it look better than it actually was. It was wet in the AM, almost 100% dry-ish early to mid-afternoon, then got worse again.

Learnt quite a bit about the car though, which was useful. It's the first time I'd driven a paddle shift gearbox in anger and I was a) really happy with it and b) surprised how quickly I got used to it. There were only a couple of times early AM when I found myself having to think about which paddle to pull, but thereafter it all came pretty naturally. The engine is good and pulls ok up to about 7.5k in the lower gears, however in 4/5/6 it tends to be a bit of a waste of time going over 7k, it just doesn't pull. I assume a CSL airbox/clone ECU would help?

The on-board video saga was hilarious! The bit I've posted was the only bit of useful footage from the whole day! I've got footage of the back of my head, the floor and two 10 min sessions of looking out of the pit garage (where I ended up switching the camera on when I came in and off when I went out!) .... talk about a techno-idiot! Anyway, luckily (and purely coincidentally) the useful bit of footage had an S550 in it, which I'm hoping will keep Slowhand from giving me another telling off for a non-relevant post!
