no....Post #47BTW, I "think" the new canister filter part #'s are:
Ford part # FT4AZ6731A. It is a Motorcraft filter part number of FL2062
Still confirming.
Ok, so when mine comes, I'll have two Assenmacher Specialty Tools (AST) M0219 oil filter wrenches. The one I already have has the same hex drive but it also has a 3/8 square drive socket so you can just put it on the end of a 3/8 drive extension bar and feed it in through the wheel well opening. As for matching the filter, the Assenmacher wrench fits the filter very well....But at least the wrench we're getting is some cool swag...
I'm talking about you saying roughly "it's bullshit, Ford knew it was an issue and fixed it on newer cars but didn't make it so you could fix the older ones". I was just playing but surely you see the correlation. Not saying I even agree with that argument for the coolers, just have heard it said.... over and over and over....lmaoNo offense taken. But if you think this is similar to the oil cooler recall and can't see the difference, then your name must be Stevie Wonder
Big difference between people assuming capabilities based on marketing lingo/not comprehending the full scope of the information available, versus an oil filter redesign that could potentially eliminate any risk associated with losing your engine because you don't check it periodically..
May not be an ecoboost, but your 79 pinto was an upgrade...xIf so, then I want my FREE upgrade to my 1979 Pinto to the newest 2.3 ecoboost engine NOW!!! Come on FORD, I still have my 1979 Pinto.
Exactly, nothing new.May not be an ecoboost, but your 79 pinto was an upgrade...x
"On June 9, 1978, Ford agreed to recall 1.5 million Ford Pintos"...for explosive fuel tanks...
Good point....Actually, the one new thing is that, unlike the Pinto, Ford took the initiative to make the change before they got indicted for murder this time. Obviously a learning organization.

FL-2062 is correct. I confirmed in my GT350 supplement (revised January 2017) and ordered from Autonation Ford White Bear Lake today. Apparently these filter cartridges are also used on the 2.7L EcoBoost from the F-150.BTW, I "think" the new canister filter part #'s are:
