In our other cars, the wheel well cover is hinged unlike the cover in the Mustang that's just a piece of material resting unconnected. Has anyone come up with a good way to secure it down and/or hinge it?

Thanks

Secure it? Mine has never moved a bit. What's the problem?

I put a file box on the left side of the trunk (not directly on top of the cover) and when I went to take it out the cover was shifted somehow from the box moving around. That was after a day of riding around back there.

Same, my mat doesn't go anyway even after a hard turn or spirited drives.

Get a WeatherTech mat over it or other mats to go over it. I have a WeatherTech one and it has some rubbery grip so that stuff (like your file box) won't slide at all.

Or it probably caught onto to the edge of your mat and shifted it. Use Velcro?

I do plan on putting a mat back there. I just wanted to keep the cover from shifting under it over time.

Thanks

I had mines for about a month back there. When I lifted it up and out for Dynamat install, it was still in the same place. The WeatherTech or whichever mat you put on top should secure it.

A few velcro strips across the seams of the panel keeps it in place.
You only need the "hooky" side to grab the carpet.
