Going on 6 hours at the dealer now for the tune install, it keeps rebooting the install and does not complete... now I want the GT
This happened on mine too, not sure why it has this bug in the software. Mine only took 2 hours though they only made me pay for 1 because they couldn't figure it out without calling FP.

I have been following this thread closely, and I am almost ready to pull the trigger. I told myself I would drive the car a year or so before doing any significant engine performance upgrades, and I am unwilling to take a risk on the warranty, so this is the tune for me. I have a few questions if anyone would like to clarify for me.
1. CAI. I currently have the Airaid cai with a powder coated trim piece on top. I am pleased with appearance and sound and would like to keep in use if possible. I have read where most are unhappy with the included cai that comes with the tune kit but am unclear as to why exactly. Is it the way that it fits (or doesn't fit)? If I install it initially, can I put my Airaid back on and if so do I need to swap them whenever it goes in for service?

2. Install. I would prefer to order the kit online for best price and do as much of the install as I am allowed to do. What can I expect to pay a dealership to install program and and do just enough to furnish sufficient paperwork for warranty. I know this could be a broad amount but ballpark. I am in good with my local Goodyear shop and they have ASE certified mechanics. What would they need to document on the workorder receipt?

I already have aftermarket intercooler installed.

Thanks in advance for any input.
I worked a deal with my service dept and put the GT350 intake on myself and they just did the flash. Cost me $100 labor for one hour.

The airbox just has bad fitment for our car. The box itself hits the intercooler pipe to the throttle body and the intake elbow gets jammed up against the coolant reservoir, lots of pressure on the coupler on the turbo inlet. Combined with the air duct inside the bumper not fitting well and it generally being under strain because of the fitment not many of us like it. IMO it looks pretty good once installed though and definitely helped throttle response.

Watching our elected officials and alphabet agency top dogs lie through their teeth for 6 hours isn't fun? :D

Tomorrow my DV+ bypass valve should be in so I can install that, then I don't have much left to do power wise until the warranty runs out. Still trying to decide what I want to do for exhaust at this point though.

I had a custom 93 tune on this car for about 9 months but recently went back to stock and sold the SCT X4. Nothing wrong with the tune but just got tired of worrying about air temps and AFR all the time.

I'm not really expecting a lot or anything even better then what I had but for me just added peace of mind. So I ordered the FP tune thru cjponyparts but it's on backorder with no ETA.

Any of you guys have a prior tune thru cobb or sct before running this FP tune? Similar power and torque?

I'm thinking you're going to get a little bit less but a lot better peace of mind. It seems like it's on back order everywhere. We can only hope they are doing something with the physical intake to make it fit properly...

Peace of mind is what I'm after so sounds like I made the right decision.

I got mine here: http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.c...ng-2-3l-ecoboost-performance-calibration-kit/

You get 5% off for liking their facebook page. Got the parts within 2-3 days after ordering. They are authorized so you will get a warranty. No point waiting on CJ Pony. Looks a lot like Cobb Stage 1 with maybe a little more peak power.

Do you think a cat back 2.5 inch exhaust with resonator delete would help at all? Bama says they received an additional 20-25 HP coupled with their stage 1 tune. It was Kooks "costume" exhuast - but did not specify if it was turbo or catback.

Edit: Found it - it's turbo back exhaust.

This time, American Muscle has tapped the people at Kooks exhaust to build a turbo-back 3 inch exhaust setup for the EcoBoost Mustang and the results are incredible. When using the same engine tune as they did with just the cold air intake, the AM EcoBoost Mustang with the full exhaust setup turned out 308 wheel horsepower and 379lb-ft of wheel torque . http://www.torquenews.com/106/american-muscles-ecoboost-2015-mustang-runs-low-12s-exhaust-video

I am thinking this would be mutually beneficial to the FP tune.

Not bad if you're in a hurry but you can buy it for $100 less going to Steve Powell at Tasca Ford. Yes, it's on back order but if you have time, save a lot of money. Plus what if they are on backorder because FP is making a change, you'd be getting the older version that was sitting on the shelf.

I don't think so. You need to tune for a new DP.

My hope would be the intake. They took FOREVER to do the tune and I'm sure part of that was CARB certification. I doubt they would be changing the tune any time soon. The intake however fits like crap. It would be nice if they would at least fix that. It wouldn't be difficult either, a new snap on piece at the grill inlet and a new intake tube that is a little shorter.

Just to be clear though, I have no idea if they are making a change or not. They are just back ordered and could be for any reason.

Appreciate the heads up but I'm in no rush and am perfectly content with cjponyparts especially with the forum discount code and free shipping it's a good price.

After driving around on stock tune for a few days now I've noticed the car holds boost it seems longer and revs don't drop between shifts like they did with the 93 tune I previously had. My fault for not data logging. I'm sure this Ford performance tune will be perfectly fine.

I can't see the second picture but that first on is the one that FP provides with the performance pack.

This picture is the stock intake on the EB. The FP inlet at the grill looks like the blue line and is missing that red area that the stock inlet has. FP's solution is to cut that rubber that separates the blue from the red and fold it back. Very lame and more restrictive. It would be so easy for them to replace that snap on piece with one that fits correctly.
