Steeda Sway Bars - 2016 PP GT

So i've got Steeda front and rear sway bars coming, and curious as to what settings people start their sway bars at. First, second, third or fourth (stiffest) setting. Current suspension mods:

Steeda linear ultra light lowering springs
Steeda extreme G-Trac brace
Steeda IRS aluminum support bushings
Steeda Polyurethane differential bushings
Steeda IRS subframe braces
Steeda Subframe alignment kit.

Again, a PP car, so already has strut tower brace from factory. Anyone know the stiffness specs? Softest hole is 20% stiffer than stock Performance Pack sway bar, etc....

I'd start the front one up from soft and the rear at soft.

Ok, and how did you come up with that setup? Since the GT PP has slight understeer under hard cornering in stock form, wouldnt a stiffer front (by putting the steeda bar in the second hole) and using the softest rear setting make the car understeer a little more... I was thinking going the other way with it. Or second hole on both bars

The new rear bar is a lot stiffer in terms of percentage than the front (from bar OD alone, the rear is 63% stiffer than stock, whereas the front is 41%).

You ideally want as little bar as you can get away, particularly the rear of the car, so you can keep the inside tire loaded enough and allow the torsen to bias torque well. Too heavy on bar and you will struggle putting power down.

That would be a little biased toward understeer (think the Steeda setup is biased a little more neutral than OEMs with a comparatively higher rate rear bar). BmacIL, are you suggesting this as a starting point ... a little understeer "training wheels before we get more neutral?

Yeah basically. That should keep it similar to the PP in terms of front to rear stiffness but the added grip from the roll reduction may change inherent balance enough that it feels good. You'll know pretty quickly if you want more rear bar, and it's an easier change than the front.

I want the adjustables. I will be bringing this car to several tracks here in Texas, and settings will probably have to be changed from track to track.

I don't think you would have more understeer with the settings I recommended. It should be the same or just slightly more towards neutral. The decrease in roll angle overall will also allow for your contact patch to remain greater, thus increasing grip.

You'll know you want more rear bar if in neutral cornering (no throttle or brake), the front end doesn't grip as you want/rear doesn't rotate as you want. Just keep in mind the fact that increasing stiffness at the rear from the bars will decrease inside tire load (which prevents you from putting power down), and you won't really be able to tell if that effects you until you're really pushing it on the track or autocrossing. The same is true for the neutral cornering balance.

Keep in mind that you do want a little bit of understeer during neutral cornering so that you can apply throttle from the apex out without the car becoming unstable.

This. I can control my throttle oversteer a lot better now but it would be nice if it was less "oh god, oh god, we're all going to die". (yes I'm kidding bout the dying part)

Most customers like softest setting front and middle setting rear.

We will be doing several hours of testing this weekend, With different spring and sway bar rates. This will be done at the race track in actual competition. Keep everyone posted on our findings.

And this would put the car around neutral? or a good starting point? According to the Steeda specs, these settings would put the front at 42% stiffer than stock PP, and the rear at 93% stiffer than stock PP. Is that correct?
