It was probably and exercise of seeing how a CPC worked in the 350 platform since we just got two race versions harboring that very platform.Since we know now the 18 gt350 is not getting a makeover Im going to say it is safe to assume these pictures and video are NOT it. So probably a early gt500 or maybe mach1 prototype?
If this is the case I am sure to own one. I am going to try and get the MY18 if I can swing it financially. The GT350 will continue until model year 2020.
Yea I suppose that is possibly a CPC 350S prototype (minus all the non street legal bits). It was probably and exercise of seeing how a CPC worked in the 350 platform since we just got two race versions harboring that very platform.
Can you be more specific on BOLD partThe CPC 5.2 (or 5.4) is the base engine the GT500 will use. It will not be an honest Parallel Twin Turbo, it will resemble the PowerStrokes configuration as I said before.
The GT350's Voodoo is slated to remain in production until Calander Year 2019. Unless a new contract was made, the one signed in November 2015 is good for 4 years.
The Trucks will also make use of this new and improved Coyote/Voodoo hybrid. Testing on the 5.2 CPC looks ready for Janruary.
Is a 2017.5 still possible? Yes... but like the GT350, we will see very little of them.
I wouldn't say "confirmed" because I don't deal with confirmations but yeah, a Coyote/Voodoo hybrid. It will use a less expensive version of the Voodoo heads, may not use PTWA (hard bore) and be the "new" displacement engine outlined in the UAW contract.I assumed he meant a hybrid of the best bits of Coyote and Voodoo in one 5.2 CPC V8.......can you confirm that, Pill?
So do you know what the breakdown is?5.0 stays...5.2 and 4.8 for other Fords (i.e. Expedition, F150, etc) all apparently based on Coyote architecture
5.0 stays for Mustang and F-150 only. 5.2 for special variant Mustangs only. 4.8 is dead.5.0 stays...5.2 and 4.8 for other Fords (i.e. Expedition, F150, etc) all apparently based on Coyote architecture
