Really? I wonder why. As an outsider looking in prior to buying my GT in 2015 I always held SVT vehicles with high regard. More so than Shelby badged cars. Is the SVT badge defunct now? This GT500 would probably fill the same hole an SVT Cobra would. :ford:

Well, the key here is that he's a former engineer and hasn't kept track of the latest developments. There's more than one way to solve pesky clearance problems. I just found this spy shot of the new GT500 hood being tested -- no clearance problems at all! :lol:

Twin turbos do in-fact fit with relatively minor modifications. No need for nasty hood mods. See the job done here on the GT350 5.2L Voodoo engine with FPC. Pretty impressive RWHP. So, a GT500 could be made using the bones of the GT350. For low-volume applications (1.0k to 2.0k per yr) these could be built much like the AMG's & Vette 6.2L DI SCI engines. This system from Hellion is pretty impressive considering it has not been optimized. Wait until Ford adds DI or DI/PFI (most likely for boosted engine) and twin turbos.

The CPC 5.2 (or 5.4) is the base engine the GT500 will use. It will not be an honest Parallel Twin Turbo, it will resemble the PowerStrokes configuration as I said before.

The GT350's Voodoo is slated to remain in production until Calander Year 2019. Unless a new contract was made, the one signed in November 2015 is good for 4 years.

The Trucks will also make use of this new and improved Coyote/Voodoo hybrid. Testing on the 5.2 CPC looks ready for Janruary.

Is a 2017.5 still possible? Yes... but like the GT350, we will see very little of them.

Since we know now the 18 gt350 is not getting a makeover Im going to say it is safe to assume these pictures and video are NOT it. So probably a early gt500 or maybe mach1 prototype?
