Got an R

I have been poking around for about 6 months trying to get an R. The no reserve DIB on Ebay was my latest target and I was willing to bid to get that car. Before I got serious, I decided to talk one last time with the guys at Future Ford. I told them I was a serious buyer and that I was currently bidding and I was going to buy it. I was not lying, I was dead set on finally getting one. I think they could sense that I was a serious buyer and after back and forth on the phone we came to an agreement. I did not get the car for MSRP but I think I got a fair market value. I will say that I did pay less than the DIB no reserve car.

We were going to trailer the car home but quickly realized that I didn't have what I needed to tie it down correctly. Rather than scratch the car I drove it home. It rode incredibly stiff. I decided that I would put it up o n my lift Sunday morning and see what was up. After inspecting it on the lift I noticed right away that they didn't remove the ******g shipping spacers from the suspension:doh:. This has me a little concerned about the PDI so I am going to take it over to my local dealer and have them look it over and make sure nothing else was missed.

Totally stoked to have gotten the car. Looking forward to learning everything about it and driving it on the weekends.

This happened to Ben Treynor who posts over on SVTP. He stated how rough it was driving it around until he noticed the spacers were still in it. Sounds like a somewhat common issue. :doh::lol:

I drove it 150 miles. Even at 10 o'clock at night on a dark freeway I was getting thumbs up from other "enthusiasts". This car draws a lot of attention. Wasn't expecting it. It's all good though.

They did the same on mine, I even spoke with the PDI guy and told him to take them out?

Same thing happened to me, spacers left in when I specifically mentioned about taking them out... drove over 300's to drop it off at a clear bra shop before noticing it :frusty:

Funny thing was, they removed the spacers in the front, but negated to remove the ones in the rear, how that happened I don't know :shrug:

What color combo did you go with? Congrats on the R, you'll Love it! :cheers:

I got what was available. It's Triple black, no stripes, 920a only. No other options.

That is for sure. I had to work on them a little to get it down from the original asking price of 146,000 :headbonk:

Nada nothing nope. It was a very boring drive but the music from under the hood kept me entertained.
