With clear tail lamps :tsk:

Other things to note. The front side marker reflector, built into the side of the headlamp, is clear here, rather than orange.

Also, there do appear to be LEDs in the front gills.....whether they'll be activated or not is another question.

Cupholders / handbrake still on the "wrong" side.

I take it this video is really recent TT?

Yep, video taken yesterday, I believe. It also looks like that chin spoiler just out quit a way!

No vents in the hood either by the looks of things, and the exhaust, whilst clearly temporary, looks like it could go either way (hence no valance). I'm smelling a very subtle change to our current car.

Oh Jeez. A dropey face at the front with clear lights and faux gas cap at the rear. If only they'd kept the current styling with the proposed 2018 improvements.

It's a mule .... cosmetic stuff like the new bonnet, exhausts etc can be changed at any time.

Clear rear lights ....yay! ... I like 'em :clap2:.

Cons/Differences:
Faux gas cap.
Clear rears.
Same interior dash trim
no interior dash gauges
no hood vents (look at the lines around 00:08)
Single exit dual-tail pipes

Looks like old rear lights too. (hard to tell)

Same dumbo ears

Also - that exhaust aint the final version, look at the tips... they're proper weird looking, like someone shuv'd a coke bottle on the end of it.

Pros:
looks like a new spoiler.
New engine (Probably-lol)
Is that a longer lower grille/splitter or just the camo?

Looks like there's leds in the drls?!?!?!

MIND YOU, as it's a mule, it could just be a MY17 with the new engine rammed in, or a frankinstein of the two. Or a merge of just 'Heres My18 bits, heres my17 smack em together.

I like the mirrors, always have
Hope it has the LEDs but although its a right hand drive car, it may have US lights in it
Hood vents a big issue for me, will make palin looking droopy hood look even worse.

Mind you, I dont know why I am worried. Pretty much decided I am keeping my 2015 until the 7g comes out and I will go through all the pain of being an early orderer (is that a word?)for that too

Interior trim: How can you tell this from that video? The upgrades to interior are more touch than looks such as leather centre section, knee pads etc. which impossible to see from the camera. If Ford don't make these upgrades for EU/UK they are idiots considering the absolute shooting down they got from reviews regarding interior.
Faux cap: Oh dear, guess I shall be taking my pony from my current car, good job I never sold my old one. :D
Clear rears: They are the new design, can be clearly seen in the video and they look good, but if I go lightning blue I think they need to be red or tinted.
Dash gauges: We will not get, but it has the digital dash as seen from video. :)
Hood: not so fussed about vents, they look stuck on and I plan on changing hood.
Exhaust: Thats a mule setup, impossible to know whats going on there.
DRL's: Seems the hardware is there, means they will work or be easier to enable. Yipee! :)
Engine: Fucking better be there!

Right now looks like were getting updated clear rears which look nice, more premium and potentially enabled DRL's. Looking good for digital dash which I love!

Interior dash gauges, there's 3 fking vents in the middle you doughnut, can see that in the video.
Looks like there's the same aluminium dash, so no machined etc etc etc.

Doesn't look like different seats, and on the look through the passanger side, you can just about make out the kickpads, doesn't look like there's the stitching on them, but it's more the assumption.

Watching on phone, so will need to rewatch on the rears, I'd assume they'll be full new ones.

Yep, there's a digidash. Hood, again, most will change. Yep - exhaust is sh1te.

Hardware might be there as they might have just dropped on the US style front bumper. I'd assume this is to test the engine and any mechanical gimmics and how the car drives, more than the aesthetics, I'd hazard a guess that IF the DRLs have the boards in them, you'll need to still feed wires into them, if they don't and they're just reflectors, I'd expect the DRL to be in the Sidelights with the new 'fog lamp' that sits in there.

Again, all speculation.

Of course the engine will change ;)!

So been into the dealer today and they have had a email from Ford not to push the 18's as they will not be hear for some time, dealer thinks late 2018, but would of thought earlier than this, also thinks lead times will increase as well to a year +, also thinks they will supply America for a while before they make any RHD

So what's the thinking of when they will arrive in the U.K. and when would you need to place a order for one

I'd hazard a guess of Place order between nov->feb (18) obviously, the closer you get to feb the higher the likelihood o flanding one, but the lower the likelihood of it being 'first batch' if you care about that.

Then drop at dealers around July->Aug/Sep 18 time.

Again, it's all guess work at the minute! :ford:

Think ford will take a deposit for them now if you ask Kindly, but you'll have to rely on them for when the order books open to spec etc, and then when the placements land for them to place an order, but we're all proactive here enough to know when that will be and pursue our dealers to do it :headbonk:

Andy MD of Ford communicated to me MY18 will be communicated officially no doubt around April/May time, though that is subject to change. :)

He said they are still working on actual UK base specification as it will be like the last car with a set specification, so expect a PP car again with premium interior (no gauges) with digital dash no doubt and the leather upgrades.

I really hope we get some bloody wheel options as there is no FUCKING excuse to not give us wheel options, seriously I do not want PP wheels they are the heaviest fucking anchors on the planet. :D

I want those forged polished beauties. ;)

Here's the thing; the ROtW specs for this car would've been finalised yonks ago, probably before we even took delivery of the first ones back in 2015.

So even though they probably now realise that everyone actually wants what the US cars have, it's too late, so we're stuck with clear lenses/no dash gauges/cup holders etc etc.

Some of that MAY change for the next variant, but I doubt it as it would be an admission of piss-poor market research in the first place. :D
