I would think you only need WiFi if you want live data to work, but a lot of things can be downloaded to offline, like Google Maps and spotify (Premium.) Google navigation works offline.

Even if the unit doesn't have a SIM card, there are several USB dongles that Android supports for adding a SIM card. Maybe I should start a GoFundMe to get one of these units and do an in-depth review of installation, features, modifications, and extras... I could probably raise $12 towards it. :headbonk:

I tried Google Play, Amazon Prime Music, Spotify, Etc. Never found anything else that had the Indy Hip-hop and singer/songwriter music I like to listen too.

That's crazy, because I listen to some pretty obscure music, and I find 98% of it on Spotify.
