Thought I'd give a bit of an update on this.....:)

Progress has been very slow, installation of the drivers side header is fighting me all the way:paddle:

Managed to get it on today, all bolted down, then couldn't get the engine bracket back in, so header has to come off again tomorrow...:(

The whole job is frustrating, but I will persevere.

Oooooooooh....:D

I'm going for the 100 cell cats but like you have a small catback.

The tune I've just put on (but have yet to tweak) made a huge difference so if I can get anything like that difference again from headers then YAY!!

Bearing in mind Gibbo made 470 from just the PMAS and tune I don't think 490-500 is unreasonable.

I think on NA 2.5" vs 3" catback on a bolt-on car has little impact on BHP, maybe 5-10BHP at most, once boosted though it helps more.

When I do headers I shall keep it 3" throughout as Corsa is a 3" system.

Another 4.5 hours today, and I'm ready to chuck the towel in..:(

Unless I'm missing something obvious, there's just no way to get at the bottom bolts...

It's got me wondering if these headers have ever been fitted to an Auto:shrug:

I haven't seen your issue, but would it help if you undid the engine to x member mounts and lifted the engine slightly and moved it to the side? Failing that, would it be worth lifting the entire engine out?

Just my 2p

Did you specifically mention it was an auto and whether there would be any issues?

I had issues with a Steeda strut brace, someone else (possibly MustangGuy) had issues with a brace on their convertible so there may well be an issue with fitting them to an auto.

I take it you haven't asked SF yet?

My initial enquiry made it clear that my car was a RHD GT Auto:)....

I'll be giving them a call tonight.

They came with instructions which I've followed, and I'm at a point now where the instructions tell you to leave the engine bracket loose, so that it can move around, and then tighten all header bolts.
Once that's done then you bolt up the engine bracket....

My problem is that the bracket is in the way to get to the bolts...and believe me I've tried...

You can't remove the engine bracket, because you won't get it back in when the header is tightened up...

The auto has a load of gearbox cooling pipes that are also interfearing...

The engine mount on that side is loose so I can lift or lower the engine by a few inches....unfortunately it makes little difference..:(

Bummer I'm starting mine in a couple weeks I will have the box out for clutch install so hopefully should make it easier to fitted headers one hopes.

It's not the gearbox itself that's in the way.....it's the gearbox oil cooler pipes...:)

Can you do some research and see if the American headers are different for the manual and Auto. Just saw a pic of the auto pipework and it does look very intrusive.. but you don't need to hear that eh!!

I just wish I could do something to help here!!

Is it an option to remove the oil cooler plumbing to get everything bolted up then reinstall pipework after? Or possibly custom made re routed pipework?

I'm waiting on some instructions from the tech at SF that normally fits them (he on holiday).

The good news is that these headers were actually developed on an auto....

The bad news is I feel like crap today so I'm staying in front of the TV:)
