If I remember the car they developed the exhaust on was a left-hand drive import. Maybe they altered something during the conversion that differs from the ford right-hand drive car.

Not sure about that, but RH header and steering shaft location isnt an issue on mine...:)

Gibbo would only do it if he got to wear the white racing suit ;)!
I'd be happy with any role, the opportunity to prat around in the latest cars and get paid for it! :)

Wow.....thanks guys, that's a really great offer, and I may take you up on it..:)

I'll update you as to where I'm at....

The SF tech emailed me last night, and explained that to do the RH header, the engine brackets on either side of the engine have to be loose from the rubber engine mounts..(The instructions don't make this clear)

He said that once this is done, I should be able to raise the whole engine enough to get access to those bottom bolts, so we'll see..:)

I've sent a reply just to clarify a couple of points, and on Sunday I have a mate coming around to have a look.

Feel free to join the party if you want:D

Is this just an auto-specific thing or a RHD thing, you think?

Think it's a RHD thing...:)

TBH, I think my assumption that I was struggling because it's an Auto was wrong...

The trans cooler pipes definitely make things a bit more awkward, but once the engine bracket and header are somewhere near, it's the bracket that's causing more of an access issue...

I think with the extra tips from the tech, I'm in with a better chance of getting this sorted.:)

Ok No problem when I replaced my engine mounts I had to remove the whole engine mount brake on the passager side to remove the mount there massive, drivers side was easier just undone the steering shaft from rack. Let us know how you get on Sunday with your pal. Good luck

All of the above, cannot remember which vendor or owner it was, but the ceramic coating dropped under hood temperatures by like 40c, it really is worthwhile.

Camcoat in Warrington do it, around ÂŁ300-400. :)
