They are really interesting. I was surprised he went straight from foam to mitt on the GT350 without rinsing off. If I did that I'd have no paint left. Maybe he already cleaned it once.
Yeah I thought that too. He's mentioned it's controversial before. I now do a second coat of snow and then go at it with a mitt and 2 bucket. Helps with the lubrication I guess.

I can never seem to get the snow foam to cling like it does in all the pictures. I have the Karcher brand snow foam lance. I know this isn't highly recommended but it was on offer somewhere and I thought peoples beef with it was that it used plastic parts instead of brass - wasn't sure if that impacted on it's effectiveness.

Tried a couple of different brands of snow foam too, currently using Pro-Kleen. Maybe I should try another brand.

I also always use the cold water mains feed, I did think recently about using a water butt filled with warm water - is that likely to help at all? I know it'll go cold not long after it hits the bodywork, but thought it might help forming the spray in the first place

From what I found online, was the lance, i've got some absolutley shocking lance on mine, never got round to getting a proper one as the jet wash is just one we have for the family, when I move out i'll end up with whatever top range jetwash / lance is :lol:

Just finished watching all of the Dialing gt350 in on obsessed garage, fucking hell, kill me that was long

Was toying with an Autobrite HD lance. Anyone recommend or otherwise?
Have surprised myself with my new found interest in car care however watching videos on it is just a step too far...

I've also found that if you dillute the snow foam with warm water in the snow foam reservoir, it helps develop the foam.
^^^This!

Same here... I use a Nilkfisk P150.2-10 pressure washer with a PA foam lance and Meguiar's Hyper Wash and always dilute it with water at approx. 30-40 degrees, and the foam comes out thick enough to build a snowman and sticks like shit to a blanket. Pisses the neighbours off I think as the kerbing along the road either side of my house ends up 4-5" deep in the stuff for the rest of the day, and it confuses the hell out of the neighbourhood cats!

Most (quality) foam lances have a dense mesh filter in the nozzle that cause the mixture to foam as it's forced through it, and you've got to remember to keep this clean and clear by running clean water only (without the foam bottle attached or with the feed from the bottle shut off) through it when you've finished the foam procedure, otherwise it clogs up and all you end up getting eventually is a watery foam that just runs off the car.

I use the standard foam lance from clean your car.com and it works very well. Best snow foam i have tried is dodo juice apple i foam (great name)
I set it so that the foam is wet enough to run down the car and last about 5 minutes before clearing on to the ground. I used to have it so thick it just stayed there, which i think misses the point of "dragging" grime and grit off. But as always there must be 100 different ways to use just one piece of kit. None are that wrong in reality !

I have the K4 Karcher with brass lance, but for me it always comes out just in drips (no dick jokes please) it's rather frustrating, mind you gives the neighbours a good laugh, i'm sure they sit behind the curtains with popcorn ready for the show :headbonk:
