I did that too but Dreysha said to contact Ford via FB for more info.
I found that Ford via Facebook were brilliant and they responded very quickly with accurate information.

I used Facebook until I had the vin then used cotus until a few days before the expected delivery date then send a message to Deysha to confirm it's at Baltimore. Now I'm stalking ww until a BOL pops up

Once mine got to Baltimore, nothing popped up for a month then it told me the ship etc it was going on, so just be patient. Forget cotus from now on as nothing else will happen. Go to <http://www.2wglobal.com/support/frequently-asked-questions/how-can-i-track-my-shipment/#.WGc2I1zdnIU> click on "track and trace" then put you VIN into cargo ID and one day it will pop up with your info. Good luck

Finally received my VIN today after a long phone call to Ford AU and the first thing I did was punch the VIN into the ETIS and COTUS website. Both websites showed my car was built on the 28/10/2016 and on COTUS it showed awaiting shipment/in transit on the 28/12/2016 a full 2 months after it was built.

Was wondering if anyone else has had a similar wait between the car being built until it was in transit?

Ordered 14/01/2016
NSC 20/07/2016
Built 28/10/2016
Awaiting Shipment/ In transit 28/12/2016

you need to start looking on the shipping company website to see if it has been booked onto a ship.

Thanks for that just looked on the shipping website and is coming up with no record found, looks like the information my dealer has been providing me is a bit off as they couldn’t provide me with a VIN and said my car was still on track for late Jan early Feb delivery.

Ours was built 17/11, reached Baltimore 28/11, was booked onto the Tysla 20/12 and ships out today.

Ford is useless! My Dealer had no idea at all. Got my VIN via Ford Aus FB messaging, punched my VIN in like you did and it was already built. Most unorganised company ever!

Just means it has not been booked onto a ship yet, keep putting it into the cargo ID, one day it pops up and you fall out of your seat. Welcome to the fun ride called buying a mustang.

I know It’s been almost been 12 months since I put my deposit down and now probably still another 2-3 months to go which doesn’t worry me as much now I know my car has been built and is on the move. However it would be nice to have a few emails from Ford AU and my dealer instead of me having to follow them up to get basic information.

Yeah I agree. Our sales rep was embarrassed that we knew more than he did.

Out of interest, this is a pic of the trains that transport to Baltimore from the Flat Rock Plant.

Very strange indeed. I ordered on the 18th Feb 2016 and I am taking delivery late this week. It was built on the 5th October then sat at Baltimore for 5 weeks. Arrived at Port Kembla on the 22nd Dec. Yes, Ford are "USELESS".

Waiting on my GT Mustang
I ordered 14 May 16, had no NSC at all, even though my dealer was good. Came across the VIN via paperwork 2 weeks ago from Ford after adding accessories at the dealership. That day he said the delivery on his system jumped from April 2017 to Jan 2017? He wanted to check with Ford first as he thought it was unusual.

Like others I keyed in the VIN and showed was being built.

It gave a build date of 21/12/16. Still in transit. Ford on FB have told me it will arrive at Baltimore on the 3rd Jan, being tomorrow USA time. I messaged them again today and was told contact them end of Jan to see what vessel it's on as it's 90 days from build to delivery.

I seem to get conflicting info depending who I ask.

The dealer said at times it's showing in transit then it just shows up at the dealer. So I will just track it online myself and if I get the call sooner than later that it's arrived then happy days.

Shite mine is still sitting at Port Kembla, looks like you will have yours before me even though you are further away and on the same boat. Enjoy anyway.
