Installed MBRP race a few days ago, car still has stock manifolds and cats.

Haven't made any long trips but it's not bad, actually a bit quiet to me. Install 1/10. Literally would have taken 45 min without the talking and pictures in between.

The MBRP Race is, to me, quieter than the Street in that it is a lower tone and actually sounds good. The Street is higher pitched and, to me, sounds like absolute poop.

So good choice.

It will get a little louder after some time. They all do.

When my Solo Mach Thunder broke in, it was too loud for me. Sounded AMAZING, but too loud inside the car. I changed to Mach XV and that even got loud, especially after I went to a drag day and broke that baby in big time, but it's not that loud in the car.

I bought this exhaust and loved the sound.. I was aware of the drone issues with it but I didn't care. I ended up getting tired of the drone, and then promptly put a cat delete kit on lol. I STILL hate the drone, my car isn't a DD but it does sound badass though at idle and WOT. I have a lope tune now as well, the non lope idle tune is lots quieter at idle.

I run the stainless version of this. Good exhaust for the money. I like the tone. Inside it really only drones at that 50-65mph mark in 6th. Beyond that I keep the rpms above 2k all the time in town so it never really makes much noise.

I imagine with an automatic it would be horrendous drone though

My street MBRP sounds awesome now that its burned in. It got louder but definitely does not drone and is not raspy now that it opened up a bit.

How is it sound wise versus the stock resonator with axle back muffler delta you took off, I am about to make swap tomorrow.

You're in the wrong gear for those speeds. Pulling 2K in 6th...you need to downshift to 5 instead of complaining about "drone".

Yes. At that speed I'm in 5th or a lot times even 4th. I rarely use 6th anymore unless I'm going over 80 mph.

I must be odd I use 6th all the time even cruising around town at 40mph.
I just like to be accelerate easier if I need to. I used to use 6th a lot more when I first got the car and I was trying to save MPG. Although I think 40 MPH is too slow for 6th, especially in my auto.

3.31s and manual have me at about 1000 RPMs lol.

I'm not sure how you gathered that I subject myself willingly to drone.

Also speed limits here generally are 60 mph here. I usually run to 60 in 5th, then shift. I like myself too much to make my ears bleed.
