Looking to get some new wheels and am considering this size rear tire. Tires are MT Sport Comps.

wheels 20x8.5 255/35/20 27.03 tall and 20x10 305/35/20 28.41 tall

That rear tire is an inch taller than stock. What are the negatives? A buddy mentioned it will look too big?

Was considering the same setup in 19s but this shop doesnt carry the proper front tire setup and for some reason 20s are a lot cheaper overall.

I was always against 20s for the s197s but the s550 20s see to look good on them.

I run a 305/45 Drag radial on my car. The bigger than stock tire size just fills the wheel wells up nicely. There isn't the big gap between the 1/4 panel and tire with the taller tire. Don't mind the goofy GT500 wheel in the photo. This is my drag set up but it gives you an idea of what a tall 305 looks like on the car.

I have had 315's on different wheels, yes. They rubbed going over extreme dips in the road (rare), but I was on stock alignment. This photo is 305s with -2 camber. No rub.
