lug nuts for 6gr wheels

I have a set of 6gr wheels and I plan to track them. I wasn't too crazy about the lug nuts that came with the wheel set, so what are you folks using for track days with your 6gr wheels?

I don't think I need a set of $150 open end titanium lug nuts.

Edited to add, I re-read and saw I forgot to mention the lug nuts, duh... I was in a hurry to get out the door.

I read the clearance is a bit too tight on the front between the wheel and calipers. If any debris (common on track) gets in there it doesn't have enough space to bounce out and may scratch up the wheel and caliper.

I went with 21mm (13/16").

I got these for the rear:
Gorilla Automotive 61147

These for the fronts:
McGard 64023 Chrome

Edited to add: I found info on another forum that has to do with (track mustangs online) with a Google for 6gr wheels. Pg 13 and on was helpful

Every picture I have seen of the 6Gr wheels with R spec, the lug nuts sit funny and not like the actual R wheels. What gives? I was leaning this way for wheels but the lugs nut issue is killing me.

The center sections on the CF wheels are thicker than those on the 6G wheels.

I asked the 6G vendor and they said Gorilla Automotive 71643NBC will fit. This is for the GT350. Not sure if it's different for the R.

It is. Wheel studs on the R are longer than on the non-R GT350. Lug nuts for 6GR wheels, R-spec or not, are not an issue.

I hear you. There is a very informative thread on this very subject at track mustangs online dot com. Google 6gr and pick it up at pg 13.

I like the look garagelogic has but I probably don't have to double up like he did since my track pack doesn't have the longer studs. However, when my R is delivered in the spring, I'll have to do something similar.

My immediate need is the HPDE I have coming up on 12/09-11. I want some strong ass lugs for the track.

My reference above pretty much covers the topic, I just have to get home for some measurements.

So, essentially with this wheel you will not have the same look and fitment of the GT350R wheels in reference to the wheel studs and lugs. That sucks!!!! thanks for all the info.
