Hi,

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a set of foam ramps used strictly for getting enough clearance to get the lift arms under the pinch points. I currently use a block of 2x12 under each wheel which has been working fine but the front ones sometimes kick up and hit front underbelly when backing off of them. I would like a simple set of lift pads just to get enough clearance for the lift, nothing more.

Thanks,

Jaime

You should try cutting a shallow angle on the 2x12 with a circular saw. That should prevent the wood from moving when going up and down.

I have a 4 of their 8" wheel cribs for working under the car and the quality is top notch. A little pricey, but they've been working well for 4 years now.
Brilliant thank you. I visited their site first but I could not navigate it well enough to find these.

They are perfect for the front wheels. Is there another version for the rear which will allow me to drive over them when pulling into the lift and then reverse over them on the way out?

I may just have to get 2 pairs and use them on all 4 corners.

I did think of this and this was going to be the plan if I couldn't find another solution. I will need to get new wood to lengthen it and add the angle. Thanks for your help.

I mean, either way works. Race ramps make some good products. I got a set of wheel cribs that allow me to lift the car with the suspension loaded. They're insanely light for their size. Only drawback is that they're expensive, whereas lumber is dirt cheap.

This sounds interesting what do they look like? Just curious.

They are these:

I don't have a pic of them with the car on them, but the ones I have, have a 10 inch lift. Gives you plenty of room with a creeper to torque your suspension with it loaded already. Probably the best method to do so besides a 4 post lift.

The largest one they offer is a 12 inch, which is fine for you since you have a 2 post lift, you could easily lower the car onto them, but you would struggle to get them on a 12 inch crib with a regular floor jack.

Yup, these would be great for keeping the suspension compressed and "clocking" the bolts. I am lucky enough to have a 2 post and drive on lift. I use the drive on for winter storage mostly but it is 100% capable for working on.

If I didn't have a drive on lift I would pick these up for sure.

Really expensive, but you can remove the middle section once you're on them.

I have the 8" version of these. Great for anything under the car.
