Received an email from Ford this morning, stating a build date of sometime in May, and delivery for August... bit of stretch i think. I ordered back in May 2016. Crikeyy!

Here's a stretch for you, next week it will be 500 hundred days since I ordered my car. It was built on the 18 of July It's been just so exciting waiting and the last time I recall having so much fun I was unconscious .

Ford Australia and dealer can't explain delay other than it may have been damaged post production and been rebuilt. What do you do ? Demand deposit back after waiting this long.

Definitely wouldn't ask for the deposit back after so long, unfortunately there doesn't seem like much you can do with that answer from Ford. Hang in there mate!

Have a mate who is currently enquiring to order s stang, his dealer confirmed if he ordered now he would receive around July. So wait time of 8 months, looks like they are definitely clearing this backlog

I was told 12 months. However 15 months later I almost got it.

Not sure if all cars to be on this vessel are on - it says it is scheduled for WA but no cars for WA so may be more to come. This is the latest anyway.

Could it be that only non-Ford products are destined for WA? E.g. BMW, or even mining equipment, the latter unlikely with the state of the mining industry at the moment.
