I've been thinking about grabbing myself a PMAS no-tune intake and Weathertech mats for my car for Christmas. I really can't think of anything else. I currently have a 3 month old GT Premium so I don't want any potentially warranty voiding upgrades. I already have an X pipe and Roush. What do you guys think of getting the PMAS no-tune? Or would you invest in something else like tint & gt350 stripes, etc. I'm happy with the 20in factory wheels I have now and can't justify new tires with only 2k on the current Pzero's, though the summer tires might be an issue this winter.

literally went thru what youre going thru. did the xpipe and roush did the non tune pmas and like it. i am working on getting it tuned now i feel as if a tuned pmas would just run cleaner and smoother. the stock box compared to the pmas in my opinion isnt that bad. i feel the pmas is def upgrade over stock and am happy with it but if i had done it over again i would have gotten my BMR performance springs on before the intake. so much more comfortable over stock. looks better rides better handles better. and they pair pretty well to the PP shocks. and they arent expensive for the benefits you get from them.

PP2 is you're willing, maybe a strut tower brace. Stripes and tint are cool. I wouldnt get a intake without a tune.

Thank's. Yeah it's tough, I hear how great the Lund tunes are (especially for the automatic cars) and GT350 manifolds, and headers, etc, but I just can't afford to risk not having the warranty cover any potential issues right now. Unfortunately I don't have a PP model so I have the stock GT shocks. What's the ride height on your car? I'd like to go maybe a half in lower since it's my daily driver and the roads here suck, but it seems like most of the suspension kits lower it at least a full inch. Also, did the PMAS make any sound difference?

Thanks, I thought about the PP2, but I would probably just go with the PP3 if I did go that route since warranty wise they both bring you down to a 3 year warranty (from my understanding) and I really want a GT350 IM. I was thinking about the no-tune intake because eventually when I do get a tune I can just swap the MAF and continue to use that intake since I'll eventually need/want one anyway when I do go with a tune, manifold, and headers.

By the way, do you have any pics of the cars ride height after the springs install?

Suspension is a priority. I did the Airaid "tube" and AEM filter for $210.00 or so. I agree with getting the suspension sorted. 1" drop isn't going to make you bottom out bro. And Steeda sells a brace that goes under the front subframe that is as helpful as the strut tower brace, check them out too. Research is your friend, keep doing that.

i actually just bought an ngauge off someone on here with intentions to get a lund tune. but im a manual. as for the springs, i was talking to the BMR tech on here and i believe they developed the performance springs for stock shocks. i want to say they had put them on their base non pp car and said they worked great. obviously better shocks would be even better but sounds like many are much happier with doing just springs. you can always come back and add shocks later when funds permit. as for ride height i honestly never measured it cause i dont really care its a looks thing and i think it looks perfect. their advertised drop for the gt is like 1.2 inch in front and 1/2 inch in back. ill try to post some pics later when i get a chance. but ive got tons of poor roads around me and i would take the bmr springs on stock shocks over all stock any day. lastly the PMAS. in terms of sound its a much louder unit than the stock box but with x pipe and roush abs i can only hear a slight whistle during acceleration. its not always there but when it is its not annoying. i also took out the sound tube so i think that might contribute a little bit. didnt notice any more engine noise with the intake just intake noise from the filter.

side note BMR has some minimal drop springs with the same rates and comfort level without as much drop i think they said the drop was like 3/4 or 7/8 inch drop front and half inch in back

another option is the FRPP track pack which is pretty much the best bang for buck. its like $1100 but its basically a step up from the performance package on the gt. front struts come already assembled and it basically is a complete suspension overhaul for much less than if you bought all the parts individually. lots of guys on here are running the track pack only as DD and track days and love it from what ive seen.

That ride height looks great. I wanted the FRPP track suspension but was worried it might look too lowered with my 20in wheels. I like having some space between the fender and tire.

im pretty sure the total diameter of all OEM Wheels+Tires are within a couple centimeters. You'll be fine.

If yours is the 265/35/20 compared to the PP Rear's as pictured above, your total diameter is 27.3" compared to his PP 27.7". So you're actually going to have a bigger gap.

Thank's. I was wondering that. I assumed they were close since the 19" will have more tire height. I could only find pictures of the FRPP track kit on cars with 19" wheels so I wasn't sure.

The PP front tires are a tiny bit smaller diameter than yours, 27.1" vs. 27.3".

I would definitely do suspension next, as well as chassis bracing. The FRPP strut tower and cowl brace kit is a bargain and really improves the responsiveness and feel from the front end. BMR Cradle Lockout kit, CB005, keeps the rear subframe from flopping around during every type of event, not just hard launches. That one really improves the confidence you have in the car putting power down. As mentioned, BMR Performance springs on PP shocks is an excellent combo for improved handling and ride quality, along with looks.

If you get consistently below 40 deg weather I'd strongly recommend not driving on your summer pirellis and pick up a take off set of the base all season wheels and tires at the least, or those wheels with performance winters.

I havent done anything other than a catback and tint, but I'm not out there racing anyone so stock power is fine for now. It's powerful enough to scare all my passengers.

I got a radar detector and dash camera recently and am glad I did it. It picks up radar almost too well (Beltronics Pro 200) and the camera is fun to get home and download funny things I see. I forget what brand it is, but between the two of them I think I have maybe $275 in it all.

Here is mine on BMR springs. 1.2" in front and .5 in rear. Looks low but has never come close to rubbing. Pm me if you have any questions.
