I'd also agree that the mirrors are perfect as far as their size. I hopped in a charger (lol) rental car last week and thought the mirrors were extremely huge. Between the big ass mirrors and the side pillars in that rental, I felt like the blind spot covered a pretty wide area.

I also never realized how much I absolutely love the blind spot feature in this car until I got in a car last that didn't have them.

I went to pick up my new car today and also was thrown by how small the mirrors are.

Even with BLIS it seems like there was a real compromise made with regards to mirror size. Reverse of form over function.

At first they seemed a bit small but you get used to them. It does the job. They look alot better than the ones they put in the UK.

I have never had an issue with the mirros on my Mustangs and I have owned 2 foxbodies, 2 SN95s, two s195's and a S550. You want to talk about small mirrors check out the folding mirrors that they used on the 03-04 Cobras. I have a set on my 02 and they are tiny, but I still have no issue using them. It is all about adjusting the mirrors properly. I use a method I read in Motor Trend years ago. For the Drivers side place your head against the window and adjust the mirror until you can see the side of your Car. For the passenger side lean towards the center of the car and adjust the mirror the same. Once they are adjusted you will be able to see any car that is in the blind spot and they will not disappear from the mirror until they reach your font side windows. Trust me it works.

Exactly! That's is how to correctly adjust your side mirrors. If I can see it in my mirror, it's next to me or in my way. If the mirror is clear, you are clear ahead of any car behind you. Normally when I'm passing cars, they disappear on the side mirror as they start to appear in the rear view mirror. The only problem is that some cars are built so the mirrors won't adjust out far enough, or just barely do.

Most people have their mirrors set so they can see the side of the car without moving their head, this is WRONG. All that shows you is what's behind you, not what's next to you, which is the purpose of a side view mirror. With the mirrors set up correctly, you just lean your head over a little if you want to check behind you, as opposed to having to turn your head to see whats next to you, when your mirror is adjusted incorrectly. When you have your mirrors adjusted correctly, you have no blind spots, it just takes a little getting used to trusting your mirrors, as most people are taught to use their mirrors incorrectly.

Wait until you try to sit in the back seat!! Or get in and out of it in crowded parking lots, with the big long doors and recaro seats. It's not very user friendly.
I had an S197 for 4 years in the UK, big mirrors and had blindspot mirrors on top of the other mirrors
When I 1st saw these mirrors was worried, but they are fine and with the BLIS much easier to handle, of course I only look at the BLIS as a warning, but for me with a LHD in the UK its way better then the S197
Also what has surprised it how well it works with motor bikes and even cyclists which is a very nice surprise
Also crowded parking lots backing out with the Cross Traffic system, makes life so much easier it works so well. With the S197 was a total nightmare

Buy your new Mustang then swap with me. Only thing that is wrong with my UK Mustang.

Those ludicrously over sized mirrors.

You want large mirrors? Just put some EU mirrors on it and call it a day. :D
Are the EU mirror wider or just taller? He may not be worried about seeing drones flying just above car height. ;)

The mirrors look perfect to me... never given it a thought.

While driving I never can't see or have trouble seeing what is around me.

You can always go aftermarket:

Naw. Mount curb feelers on the fenders and change lanes slowly.
