On the ford performance parts website, the nickel wheels are 200ish and the black versions are just under 400.

You can't to my knowledge swap those out on a vehicle that is already on the dealer lot due to the VIN, but you can negotiate with the dealer (they pay for the nickel or black ones, and keep the ones from the car)

In other words order an additional set of rims?

How bout magnetic-ish?
What a beautiful car!!

In the first pic I see Guard. In the second pic I see Magnetic. However in both pics the wheels look darker than the silvery-colored-nickel on the PP wheels.

My money says at the end of this thread we'll see that the Magnetic with the nickel PP wheels is a rare combination.

Thanks

For stock, I'm in love with the black wheels. However, my car is about to lose the rest of its chrome trip in favor of a black chrome/smoked look. I will be contrasting the cars black highlights with hyper silver/machined silver wheels. Or possibly an avalance grey colored wheel.

I like both. When I bought my car the only choice with PP, at least on the lot was black.

I was using a motorcycle spoke brush to clean them and put a couple of small scratches with the end of the brush. It's barely noticeable, except up close for the 2 minutes they stay clean. I since bought a brush with a soft end.

The front PP brakes put off a tremendous amount of dust and it's brown. Not sure how that would go on nickel wheels, it sucks on black. The wheels are dirty immediately. On black they look more dull than anything, but the brown tint is there.

I have the nickel wheels and they show the brake dust, too. plan on cleaning wheels weekly at a minimum.

In my opinion black wheels give more of a muscle car look; nickel wheels more of a classic sports car look.

Thanks all. Paul@PKAUTODESIGN still loving the set up from ya. Get compliments on fitment a lot. Thanks for the nice words everyone. The color is called graphite. Its kind of matte metallic i guess. Matches magnetic very well.

Don't have a picture but have seen a Magnetic with the silver wheels. It looks awesome. And Ford knows the silver looks better in general or they wouldn't be able to charge extra for the silver in the US while its the same price in other markets where the silver is the norm.

Very clever of Ford. They make the PP wheels standard in black because black is kind of a fad now and plus almost nobody would pass on the PP just because they didn't want black wheels. Its easier to buy aftermarket wheels than make a DIY PP. Then they make extra profit by making the silver available for an additional fee.

Silver and nickel...are you saying they offer two different colors with the perf. pack aside from black??

Thanks

If the nickel wheels would have been available in '15, I would have gotten them. For that matter, I probably would have ordered my car in silver with the nickel wheels since I personally don't care for black wheels on light cars.

I liked the look of the black wheels with Magnetic better, so that drove my choice.
