So I've had my GT on the driveway for less than a week and I'm beginning to think I should have picked dark grey...

I took her to the gym on Sunday morning and had to park near a window as she was surrounded the entire time.

Monday night I had (too many) trick or treaters - not interested in sweets, but the car - and now I have hand prints on the hood (KIDS!)

I've been home the past couple of days - my home office is at the front of the house, so I'm looking at her right now, and people stop as they walk by (with the dog, kids etc). Delivery peeps comment "Very nice" and even the door-to-doors offering new windows or whatever, first mention the car - sales pitch - back to the car.

And yes.. someone thought it was a Ferrari.

I'm a little shocked if I'm honest!

No, no, no. You got it right.

I get the Ferrari comment too; red + pony on my decklid = Ferrari

Yeahhh.. not sure I understand personally, but I'd assume that comment would come from the person that owns "a red car" and not know much more.

I'd gone from blue, to red, to blue, to black.. red was always first choice. I'm not sorry.

On the NC500, the girl who served me in one of the petrol stations said, 'nice Jaguar'

Get used to the attention, it never stops :)

Wait until you clean it out the front. I have stood chatting to a neighbour for 45 mins. Whilst watching soapy water drying to my car undoing all my hard work.

Never met so many neighbours
It's so weird. The Monaro is one of the rarest cars in the UK - but it's black, so no one even bats an eyelid.

The DeLorean I understood - those doors attract people from miles away :p

What happens when you hit 88mph?

But yeah, I know how you feel, no one cares about my little 1.2 Clio lol.

DeLorean Chassis Removal by Dan Willis, on Flickr

Body on the left, chassis on the right. The engine is now on a pallet under the body.. so, 88mph? Not for a while ;)
From what I've been told about reliability of them, that probably happened last time you hit 88

Never seen one in the flesh but would love to have a ride one day in one.

A little worried when I get my Grabber Blue Mustang though, I have on street parking at home next to a public park, a college, 2 high schools, a primary school and an infant school. Never ha do issues when I had my bright yellow RS Megan's 250Cup.

I wouldn't believe what you've heard. Like any car, if it's not used, it'll deteriorate and these cars are 35 years old. Regularly used cars are fine; there's very little to go wrong. Mine was bought as a project, so I'm enjoying that aspect.

Good luck with Grabber Blue - lovely colour!

as others have said - get used to it! I take it as a compliment!

When washing the car on Saturday, I had an old lady on the way bag from the shop stop and ask me to take her out for a spin as her husbands OAP wagon dosen't excite her as much as my car does! She walks past it every day apparently!

All the joys of an 'in your face' car and an 'in your face colour' neither are timid - both stick out like a sore thumb. I love it.

At car shows, we have had people come up to us, and ask why we are not on the Ferrari stand, and that is with MOCOGB written all over the place

But, they don't know what MOCO is.... Probably think it's 'MOtorsport COmpany'

(yes yes, I know the banners say 'Mustang' on it)
