Cigarette Lighter Delete

I hate having a cigarette lighter in my car. Call me fussy, but I just want to get rid of it and turn it into a simple power outlet.

I found the following OEM item, but I can't find it without ridiculous shipping costs

Has anyone else looked into this, and identified options that are inexpensive, easy to fit and look good?

Not yet, but will do so next week.

I'm not enthusiastic about what they'll charge, given I paid $8 and some change for a 10 amp micro fuse!

I gave it a go and it was asking for minimum US$100 shipping!

I'll check with my Dealer. Worst case I'll have it shipped to a friend in the US - I get there regularly, and there's no rush.

This about this, it's going to be a standard size cap so really any car with a power socket that has a cover will fit, I might try the cover from my misses Fiesta, would be cheap and easy to get from local ford dealer

If you don't mind the look you can get a BT50 cap for $10 delivered on ebay. Search cigarette lighter blank.

I tried out the cover my misses Fiesta and it fit perfectly. It's the same as the Mazda one posted above so bought it
