I'm signed up to go this week. I'm curious if it is recommended or not to bring my own helmet and firesuit? The event looks like alot of fun.

One of the best times I've ever had. Nice to put a fence with the names. As far as the question about bringing your own stuff, you can, you don't have to though. There were people that did bring fire suits, helmets, driving shoes, and gloves. I wore the schools driving suit and helmet with just a pair of tennis shoes and I did just fine.

Going 19/20th. I was very fortunate to find a seat at the last minute. I was here 2 weeks ago for the conclusion of the NASA season here. Best seat in the house as I was one of less than a dozen onlookers. This is an amazing track! I cannot wait until tomorrow!

They provide them for you, but you certainly could bring your own if you wanted to.

Go to Ogden area it's where I stay when here on business. Nice older area and plenty of choices for restaurants. If you stay at the Hyatt by the airport it will be about 40 min or so. If you have a full day, drive to Snow Basin in the morning, then you can loop back through Ogden for dinner. Local area favorite is Roosters Brew and restaraunt.

Man, wish I would have seen this earlier. We went all over while we were there. I'm an outdoor person so most of our site seeing was that type of stuff. We went to antelope island and the Bonneville Salt Flats. We also too several opourtunities to just go off the beaten path and see what we could see. We stumbled onto Lone Rock in Skull Valley.



This guy found out how soft the salt can be when it's wet...

Today was a blast. I over ran turn one only twice! More track time would have been nice. Tomorrow in the Boss 302 will be a blast. Just hope the rain holds out.
