[RANT] Crappy day with the Mustang

So.. Landscapers used a back mounted leaf blower to not only throw sand/stones/rocks at my car (and a few others here at work) which completly coated my windshield in small pits (Looks like it's dirty) then also blew out a window at my work.

After working with my plant manager and our landlord to try and get the ball rolling on that I go to lunch and i hear this constant thud on my pass door... well turns out the little rubber valance/rock guard whatever, decided to let go and it was proceeding to wrap it's self around my tire/control arm. what a shit day... my poor car... (tho maybe i can get a carbon fiber hood out of the deal as the hood has pits and dents now).

FML i'm ready to go home...

I wish more people had respect for each other. It's depressing to imagine the level of "don't give a $#&^" for someone to blow debris on someone's car.

So, do you know if your place of employment or if the contractors will pay for the damage?

This is a case of workers who don't give a flying f*** about anything including our cars. I would bet that their personal cars are beaters too. I hope you get it worked out to your satisfaction.

They probably did it on purpose.
There are tons of people would deliberately damage other people's nice things to serve their satisfaction.
That's why we can't have nice things. And that's why people like that never move forward in life because such mentality.
They blame their current situation on people that are doing better than them. Instead of learning how successful people become successful, they shut themselves out.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine which ended up costing him nearly 20k to fix all the damages. He had sub contracted the painting work with a trim guy that hired day laborers to do the spraying so nobody knew what they were doing. Staggering incompetence.

Day laborers should be used to haul, load and dig. That is all they should be used for. Any skill work you need to pony up for skilled labor but some of these guys see $5 an hour labor and gizz on themselves thinking about all the money they're going to save.

There is zero way a back pack leaf blower is going to damage your car or a window like that. Now they could have been weed eating/edging or even mowing with an open chute and that can do some damage. Not trying to start an argument with you but when confronting them about it best not to give them an easy out.

that's crazy! One day I woke up to my neighbor getting his house painted. I was like oh shit, my brand new truck is parked right out there. So i ran outside and the painters had wrapped my truck in plastic. I was like whew, and thank you guys! :cheers:

That's what their supposed to do. If they're even more professional they post fliers on doors announcing the days they will be painting, then they will rope off the parking lot space by space until all the cars are gone.

There were guys sealing the roof at my work and many cars got over spray on their cars. They had these cars detailed $400 per car. Ouch.

On Mondays I don't park near the grass as to avoid the landscapers at work messing with mine, unfortunately, that means I have to risk parking next to one of the other 1,000 morons that park here.

I work in the High desert it's very easy, this place is all sand and rocks. All they have to do is use the blower and kick up some sand along with the natural winds up here and it's game over. Unfortunately this happens a lot up here i'm told.

The grass cutting service for the church near my office basically hoses down cars parked on the street with clippings. It's infuriating. I think something is finally being done about it. This is about half as bad as the first time.

Had the same crap happen to me too. I sometimes park in a corner spot very close to the curb so there is plenty of room between my car and the one next to me. Lawn service comes through and my car gets covered with grass clippings.
I now try to grab the spot next to an island that is not cut.
