My GF got me a set of 17x9.5 racestars for my Birthday. She bought them from AM and I guess they don't sell or she couldn't find the 10.5. I'm thinking of returning these and getting the 17x10.5 from somewhere else. Any reason to keep the 9.5s over the 10.5 or any performance gain to be had when you are adding a sticky drag tire.

Well.

My car is the quickest 60-footing S550.

I run a 17x9.5

17x9.5 and a 305/45/17 et street r work perfect together no need for 10.5 wheel

Well not much better of an endorsement than that. :headbang: What tire are you running?

I actually have 17x10's I am about to put on it.

I think a 10" wheel is perfect for the 305 I use. But, will it help my sixty? Probably not.

I run a 305/45 Nitto on a 9.5 wheel. The car sixtys great. It cuts 1.62 sixtys repeatedly in a 4000+ Premium GT. I personally wouldn't go thru all the hassle of returning a wheel that most likely wont offer any benefits.

I've had both wheels. Currently running the 10.5" wide wheel on a 325 tire. Cutting the best 60' it's ever done. Not saying the smaller wheel and tire couldn't do it... it just didn't on my car. But there's too many factors involved to blame just the wheel and tire. 1.36 60' on stock shocks and only a few bmr parts. Just placed a decent sized order from bmr again. So shooting for some 1.2* now.

What type of 10.5 wheel did you go with?
