Order Number query

Stacey from [email protected] is asking for an order number that consists of 1 letter followed by 4 numbers.
My order number consists only of 6 numbers, has anyone else come across this?

I never supplied one, as the code jumps from system to system :frusty:

I'd just supply her with the following:
Your name
spec of car
dealership ordered from
Dealers name
date ordered/deposit paid on.

and she should be able to find it - worked for me!

When I first contacted Karen she wanted to know my dealer number and dealer order number. Didn't know the dealer number and my order number was L0034. Eventually got the dealer number and order update from "a useful chap on here who shall remain nameless"
As Manders says though plenty folk have had updates without supplying this info. I've not heard dealer number mentioned, other than when I was searching for one...

Back in the early days when we were enduring the 18+ month wait for our cars we held great store in getting a screenshot of our order page from VISTA and there was debate on what the Dealer Order Number meant and if it had any bearing on the sequence of deliveries. Those were the days

My Dealer Order Number was L0032 and mine was one of the first to be delivered

If Stacey wants to know your Dealer Order Number then maybe your order doesn't exist. Has anyone heard about fake Ford Stores being setup for one day to take orders and when you go back they are gone? Just winding you up but who knows.

At what point would you expect an order to show on Ford's system? Placed my order end of June and haven't heard anything since. Wasn't really expecting to, would just like a build date before the end of the year so my car can be delivered around April (in time for the new tax rules).

It would be nice to know it's 'in the system' though.

I'd ask Karen and Stacey, it's been 3 months so it should be in the system with a provisional build date by now which they'll be able to give you - However if it isn't; chase your dealer as they may have not put it through yet (Common thing to happen)

Where are you based Tom? Looks like you aren't far from me, I'm in the Chew Valley. Did you order with Ford in Ashton Gate?

Didn't notice you were only in Bristol mate. I went to Ashton originally but didn't get a very good feeling from them, (little did I know at the time, it was the same everywhere. What's a £35k sale these days anyway... ) no test drive offer, tried selling me a Focus RS instead!?
So I went to Swindon Allen Ford instead, they are both pretty much equal distance from me anyway. How was your experience of Trust Ford Ashton then?

With a contract date of may 12th I still have no provisional build date after 4 months.

I just ordered over the phone, as I knew what I wanted and was concerned that the price could go up after the referendum result and the pound weakening sharply.

They happily took my money and I have an order form, but not heard anything since. Not getting my hopes up for a great customer experience, but as long as the car arrives in Q2 next year I'll be happy.

Once we've got our vehicles I would be up for a meet up if you fancy it. Perhaps see if there's anyone else local.
