Hi Guys, I have a quick question that I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to, but I wanted to verify. On the premium models when using the air conditioning, is there any way to control which ducts blow air?

My understanding is that if you aren't re-circulating the cabin air, then the AC will use both ducts. But, if using max AC or if you have the recirculating button on, then you'll only get AC through the dash vents. Can anyone confirm this is accurate?

At any rate, not being able to control this manually is an annoyance. Thanks in advance for any input or information!

I don't get it.
It will blow where you want it to except foot position then some will come out of the dash vents.
AC will go to all the selected vents.

I'm not sure if Ford changed the climate controls for 2017, but on my 2016 there isn't a selector to chose which vents are used. I have defrost, AC comes out the dash, and heat comes out the floor. I don't see a way to control which vents are used. I will be thrilled if there is a way though.

For example, sometimes in the summer when I'm wearing long pants I like AC blowing out the floor ducts. In the winter lots of times I want heat out the dash. And, I like to be able to control it manually.

There aren't physical buttons but if you go to climate on the touchscreen you will be able to select floor/dash/defrost.

The manual is pretty thick and I got my answer in about 5 minutes online with minimal effort. The manual didn't do the best job explaining how to use launch control or line lock. Thus, I figured it would just be easier and quicker to post here. I guess I'm just lazy. Thanks to the people who had a constructive reply. For those who feel I wasted their time, I apologize.

I wish Ford actually had a toggle button for that.
Maybe next one.

I just hit the climate button and the select what I want. Not sure why that is complicated or confusing.

That's all I've ever done,a lot of times I run the ac through the defrost so it's not right on me and if it's humid out it clears the windshield up from the humidity. Never knew cars had dash only ac or at least any car or truck I've ever owned but I haven't checked out my new 16,out to the car I go but it should be like every other car I've owned,floor,dash,defrost,floor/defrost....
