Sync 3 Volume resets EVERY TIME I GET A CALL!

If anybody has experienced this and possibly has a fix, I would be so grateful.

I have a 2017 with Sync 3. I have my iPhone6S Plus paired to it. Every time I make or receive a call, Sync resets the phone volume to 19, which is almost inaudible. How do you make it stop changing the volume?

This also happens when I have CarPlay enabled. Phone volume and prompt volume all reset every time you need to use them.

It's super annoying. Even $100 aftermarket radios remember the phone volume independently of the music volume.

Mine does this too. The volume needs to be 24 with my phone, but always returns to default.

Mine does this, too. I have to have the thing at full volume to hear calls clearly...

Same here! Ford really needs to offer the ability to set user defined presets for different types of audio. It's just a matter of programing.

I have an issue with the 2017 Sync 3 changing the ringer volume on my iphone to max every time the phone is connected.

Hey everyone!

The volume shouldn't automatically change settings, so I recommend resetting the module. To do so: Select radio > Hold the power button (center of the volume knob) + the right-seek button at the same time for up to 5 seconds.

Keep me in the loop!

Hi Cara, it is 100% the sync3 software...
we are not talking about the general volume of the unit audio.
we are talking about the PHONE volume each time u get or make a call
it ALWAYS resets back to the default.
Sync3 software never remembers it.
and resetting the unit is not the gold answer to any question lol

I had suggested the reset because there are currently no software updates available for SYNC 3. This is just one of the troubleshooting steps that we provide. :)

Not a problem, but this will not resolve this case as it is a software issue, it should be considered as a feature request and submitted for development so they can work on incorporating this "feature" on the next OTA update....

That way for each time and for as long as a specific phone is connected to thhe unit Sync3 will remember that for this phone the volume for calls should be 22 (for an example) and the user wont need to each time turn the volume up or down.

resetting the unit will do nothing....

I hate u, u got carplay we still dont.:lol:

is that a problem we will have too after the update? I dont have that problem atm.
