Quirky start routine for street driving.
Step 1: ignition
Step 2: wait a second or two then engage Sport mode
Step 3: engage normal suspension mode
Step 4: call up gauge section to monitor numerical oil and coolant temp
Step 5: give it a minute or two to slightly warm the 10+ quarts of oil
After I am done switching on the exhaust, I have to have the gauge screen visible at all times

^This.

And a presently limited OEM-sizes tire manufacturer selection...

C'mon Bridgestone, Continental, Hankook, Dunlop, Yokohama, etc...
And wheels...it's AWFUL!

I'd like a consistently available set of 325's and 305's for racing.

Thought it would be fun to start a thread related to all those little quirks with the GT350/R. I'll start with 2 of them....

1. One-wiper car washes.
2. Upon start-up, listening to the exhaust try to decide what mode it's in!

List some of your favorite quirks......
I can totally relate to those two!

I'll add a few:

- Using my hands to lower myself into the Recaros to avoid excessive wear on the side bolsters

- Having the seat position a little higher up than I normally would, because I love seeing the view of the hood and also to better gauge the passenger sides closeness to objects. (As someone said, this car is wide!)

- Using the dash pocket drawer to hold my garage door opener. (It's a little bit of an inconvenience, but I don't like the buzzing vibrating noise my opener sometime makes when attached to the sun visor on rough roads.)

- The frequency of having people come up to ask about the car. (It happens way more often compared to other nice cars I've had in the past.)

- Simply waiting and thinking about the next time I get to drive it ;)

Doesn't the Track Pack come with a Universal Garage Door opener? That sucks.
I couldn't live right without mine (UGDO that is).

Not exclusive to the GT350/R, but . . .

Have any of you guys ever parked, got out, walked away, and NOT looked back at her?

Always changing my boxers because I make a mess in them every time I hear this engine.

But seriously, always getting people coming up trying to start a race when they know I'll smoke them just because they want to see the car in action and hear it taking off

Crap eating grins from the misc pops and burbles! Eight months and 2700 miles that sound never gets old.
I assume you've done the resonator delete. The sounds this car makes with just a simple resonator delete is just ridiculous. I can't get enough of sounds a hard deceleration + a bit of gas makes.

Nope, unfortunately not on the 2016 Track Pack cars. It certainly would've been nice, but it's not a big deal for me.

Hows about having your doors blown off by and GT that cost half the price... as it goes buy you hear the whining of a Whipple SC, and knowing that your 550 ponys are no match for the nearly 700 under the GTs hood....

sorry couldnt resist.
Really??? Let's meet at a real race track and we'll see.....

Getting in and out of it is my biggest beef. I'm not fat but it's still an awkward maneuver. LOL Also, I can't tell how close to a curb I am in this car. I ALMOST curbed a rear rim the other day. I was so close the tire was RIGHT against the curb. :eyebulge:
Definitely agree on getting in and out. I'm only a 33" waist and still get my ass caught between the wheel and the seat bolster! But I love it!!!!!!:headbang:

I think he means that the drivers wiper tip hits the hood if you try and lift it. I found the tip is flexible enough to get past the hood ;)
It's not so much the tip, but the base of the wiper closest to the hood. There's not way to lift up the wiper fully unless you turn on the wipers and then kill the ignition when the wipers are up at 90 degrees...

Spending more time cleaning brake dust off the wheels, than it takes to wash the rest of the car.

Practicing your contortionist moves when entering/exiting the car trying not to scuff the side bolstering.
