7900 / 0.65 / 3.55 x 86.1" x 60 = 17686413 inches per hour = 280 mph

But at anything near 200mph I think physics come into play. I believe this has been discussed here on forum before.

Physics are always in play.

6th gear is for fuel economy. The 5-6 shift will put you outside the power band. So you really want to set the car up to top out in 5th. Which is why I am not a fan of the 3.73 gears.

The standard manual 3.31 has a theoretical 261 top speed. Or a very realistic 170 in 5th (with a disabled limiter).

Or you can switch to the Boss 302R gearbox, with close ratios for all 6 gears. It will likely be slower to 60 (lower gears are much taller), but faster over 100. And thats with a 4.30 final drive.

Well let me put it this way then. At those dream speeds the car can no longer push through the atmosphere. .Any faster..So its been said here before.....

Given the power its making yes, it will reach a equilibrium where the air resistance is the same as the force the car is pushing forward. The amount of energy to fight the air resistance at that speed is the same as the power the engine is making.
Now if you make more horse power, you get higher top speed until the body structure can't take it or aerodynamic is preventing the power to be put down to the ground.

It's the internet, where all the cars have 800hp and go 250mph.
