How well does an EB with auto trans, limited slip dif, and OEM AT tires
handle snow? Does traction control, 'snow/wet' drive mode enhance handling?

I am going to have to drive from Minnesota to Florida and back in mid winter.
So, I won't have the chance to switch from ATs to snows and back again.

I was most interested on how she handles in winter driving with ATs.

Car is fine in winter just don't drive when there is snow covering the roads. If u can't get out of your driveway don't attempt to drive.

Get a 2nd set of wheels with snow tires and there will be no problems. That is what I've always done on my Z28 and on my EBM which is full bolt on's.

Dont drive without dedicated snow tires if you get snow or have very cold winters. you loose traction on summer tires in the winter even when its not wet

In canada its illegal to drive w/o winter tires in the winter time

A set of dedicated winter tires on a Mustang will go better than a set of all-seasons on a 4x4 truck. I've ran dedicated tires on all of my cars for years now and people would be amazed at the difference. A FWD Fusion would keep plowing through the snow with Silverados and F-150s were parking because they couldn't get traction.

It is fine. Heck, [MENTION=14735]WesleyEng[/MENTION] has pictures of him daily driving his mustang in NY snow. He has one with the top down... in the snow... funny stuff.

I rode in the snow maybe three or four times. I don't have snow tires. I was not driving like an idiot either though. ;)

New cars are 1000% safer than they were when I started driving in the 80s.

Only time I have trouble with the stang is turning a corner in light rain and punching it. It corrects itself quickly... and honestly, I have not done that in a while. This happened a couple of times when I first got the car and I was used to driving a front wheel drive.

Mustang handles very well, all things considered.

If your car is a PP car, at least buy a set of all season tires for winter...the stock P-Zeroes are crap below 45° Fahrenheit.( If you run your hands over them in cold weather, they feel like plastic when the temperature gets low.

The P-Zero's do suck when it gets cold. But if you're going thru the trouble of a second set, make it dedicated snow tires. There is no comparison. I've driven a Mustang on all-season tires in the snow and they weren't much better than the summer tires. Snows make all driving a Mustang in the winter possible and enjoyable. And before someone tells me how wrong I am about all-seasons, I am certified by Goodyear, BF Goodrich, General, and Firestone. Sold tires for over 20 years. And I've owned Mustangs for nearly all of that time. :amen:
