Was at the dealers today ( Q Ford) and he showed me the pre delivery cars. Noticed a 2017 GT in TY. He noticed a lump on it and asked me what it was. I assume it's an antenna for either GPS or Digital Radio but not certain as the 2016 has both these things but I have not seen one with this on it.

Can anyone confirm what it is?

I don't know what it is, but my 2015 has it as well.

Do You have Sync 3 as we have only just got this on our 17's as here in Australia all previous cars were Sync 2. I thought it had something to do with this!

I'm in the states at the moment and have seen a stack of these cars on the road here with the sync3 antenna and they are so not obvious it's ridiculous time to worry about something else guys......

To be honest, I would prefer without, but having gone back and watched some of the US based videos/pics and not even taking much notice of the antenna it doesn't really bother me as much as I thought. Can't do anything about it anyway. Some of my favourite youtube videos have the antenna which I didn't even realise until I went back and had a look. Yep, it's there. Maybe because of the sloping roof line you notice it a bit more but it's there and that's that.

Which questions why they would bother putting it on the roof anyway, keep it all the same..

I saw mine with the the bump, its really not a big deal. It blends in unless you are looking for it.
