Every car in Germany will have to go on the autobahn so they are designed and tested with that in mind. In the old school Mercedes the steering had a dead-spot that helped when you where doing 100+
For the record, my 3-series is American spec, left behind by other Soldiers who sold it to other Soldiers til I bought it when I got there. But I'm sure you'll have an answer for that too

your so wrong it inst even funny, I have driven literally 30 plus cars of all trims on the autobahn for distance, at high speeds, both German and American spec. My GT350 is the only car that would have an issue with temps. Airflow, and limited mass in the transmission coupled with high performance means it is a glass cannon. It is not going to do any bursts of maximum performance, nor will it tolerate extended levels of performance over time.

I like how when the facts dont meet the narrative track pack lackeys resort to speed limits, get a clue. I certainly hope your use cases as you put them are always at the lowest denominator. This car should never have shipped as is period.

The biggest mistake people made was extending faith in Ford early on that they had the engineering chops and business sense to properly outfit and ship these vehicles. They did not. This and the fact they are moving as slow as molasses for the effected buyers is just makes the topic more of a sore point.
Ill say it again if you guys are overheating document when and how. Short of that ford inst going to help you. I've not seen a poll or a thread that says my car went limp today under X Y Z circumstances.

Reading this forum ill say the overheating issue(off the track) seems to effect less then 10 members. Could be it more sure, but if I cant tell how could ford?

Has every overheating Tech dealer brought the car in for a warranty claim?

America spec usually means they change the bumpers to meet crash rules. So yes I do unfortunately. I feel like you are trying to pull patriotism into a car discussion..

No it means a lot more than that, windows, lighting, other safety items, gearing in some cases as well as the size of many drive pulleys, there can be a lot of differences between specs. No-one is playing the patriotism card.

By default it does not. On a lot of cars its just a bumper swap. Fine they may change stickers. But now they try to keep models as similar as possible.

You don’t want to know
No need to stalk you. We have been involved in the same discussion for quite some time and you made your position clear from the outset...then changed it. As for the Autobahn, much of the advertising used European cars as the benchmark, to include the hype surrounding the GT350's Ring runs (didn't specify R, Track, Tech, etc). As for purchase, those of us over here had to place orders early, although regardless to when an order is placed, no one should be expected to data mine for a supplement to an owners manual to discover false advertising.

Either way, welcome to the team.
My position hasn't changed, and reposting two of my messages without dates and out of context proves nothing. What certainly has evolved is my irritation with the car, as well as for those who may be misusing it. It is not certified for sale in Europe, and for later buyers than you, there certainly were multiple sources of information related to cooling.

All of that said, I really am sorry that you fall into the "early adopters" group and are not happy - especially since you're overseas doing great things for our country.

the point is simply other American market automobiles run fine on the autobahn.
I dunno I see a mustang as a glass cannon 1/4 mile car. A lot of performance and a cheap price with compromises. This is how i have always seen a mustang vs a corvette or the German rivals.

when people document the issues we are blasted by temperature deniers. no thanks, been there done that.
Make a thread. Document the time, scenario, outside temp. Have the moderators not allow any other post. If you have a large enough data set forward that to ford. If you dont you know the issue is being over stated.

Right the GT350 is a 1/4 mile with its lack of low end torque and all:tsk:
