Anyone know the max speeds for each gear for the 3.15, 3.55 and 3.73 diffs?

You can do your own calculation. Redline / gear ratio / rear end ratio x wheel circumference x 60 minutes.

Are you driving on a road or falling off a cliff in this scenario - very different speeds.
Often find gearing doesn't matter as much when one goes down a cliff, especially when one doesn't survive it

I know from... movies...

I've always wondered how many mph my 3:73 perfpack gt could pull to in second gear...being that is usually the gear I take off in from a stop.

I'm pretty sure it's right at 60.

The tranny ratios do not change based on rear end gearing. Though I think they do v8 vs. eco.

5.0 ratios are:

1st - 3.66
2nd - 2.43
3rd - 1.69
4th - 1.32
5th - 1.00
6th - 0.65

The above is for the mt82 manual.

Here are the ratios for the 6R80 auto:

  • 4.17
  • 2.34
  • 1.52
  • 1.14
  • 0.87
  • 0.69
Note: The auto with 3.55's (final ratio) has more gear than the manual with 3.31's (in all gears) and more gear in first gear than the manual/3.73's.
