I am suprised and concerned why there are so many new mustangs for sale on car sales?? Are they genuine, still 12 months away or are many taking advantage of high demand to make a quick profit??

Nothing to be concerned about if people see a chance to make money they will take it. Also the car came quite late to a lot of people so they probably bought a few cars in the mean time

Speaking from personal experience, mine is up there to see if I can earn easy money, love the car and wouldn't sell it unless I get quite a big premium $$$ for it... which I don't think is going to happen, but I'm not concerned either way :)

Just had a look on line at car sales.com. I think the market has REALLY softened since I last looked a couple of months back. Quite a few cars in dealer hands and ready to sell, particularly but not only EBs.

Remember the Guard GT that was auctioned off for charity (breast cancer research I think)? Could be wrong, but looks like the dealer who outbidded all the others still hasn't got rid of it. Strange: http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Ford-Mustang-2015/OAG-AD-12232339/?Cr=96

My general (probably over)estimate is that you might make realistically make $8-9K or so on what you paid after all the haggling is done. That's not a real incentive to sell in my books.

I think Aus-MustangGT might be right. Some have taken delivery after having bought other cars in the interim. I've been getting close to doing so myself.

I had mine up and had more than one serious offer. But to be honest you are looking at 68-70k max for a stock almost zero km car.

Your car is neither stock nor low km. If you sell as is you can buy me steak if you get a dollar over 74
Haha fair point

There's a Qld demo EB vert with 1431km on the clock, listed on carsales for $59,990.
This is the closest I have seen a Stang to RRP yet.
Also shows that dealers must be making a healthy discount to RRP to make this worth their while.

Noticed a manual GT tonight at "retail" pricing on Carsales ($65k) and another who has chopped $10k off his asking price... I'm guessing from here the guys just seeing if they can get big money will take the cars down and the ones at about retail price will turn over reasonably fast.

I'd hazard a guess that some of the premium will start to disappear now as people will want to get an MY17 car rather than pay a premium for a MY16 car... As I'm sure others have read on here too there's a few cancelled orders about that people are being offered to them... I'll bet if you wandered into a couple of dealers and said you'd buy if they could get something "now(ish)" you could probably get one...

I know of a guy who has ordered a GT Auto that has decided he wants manual and is looking to swap - he might be willing to let his Auto go at a small premium (so he can buy a manual at a premium) :)

Also know of someone whose plans have changed - she'll probably drive hers for a few weeks so she can say she owned it and then let it go after that for a small premium.

If anyone wants a White GT Manual in the next month or two, let me know and I might be able to hook you up (seriously).

And personally, just had a discussion with my wife - we're going to keep the two I've ordered, put them up on carsales for a big premium and let the market decide if we keep them both or not.
