I have this happen all the time.

I am use to parking out in BFE and never mind walking. When I return there is usually some retard parked next to me. I have always chalked it up to my car being a BMW.

But, never the less I always see a mismatched duo in lots with someone crowding a sole sports car. I can't fathom it, or even if it is deliberate. I have parked a good 50 years out and have had a pickup right next to me.

I myself park way out, because I don't like run-away shopping carts and little kids who know nothing of respecting other people's property.

What is a nice car?

I know folks that have suv's, mini vans etc. that are 40k + cars and they take very good care of them, to the extremes that folks do here on their mustangs.

My wife has a Black Venza, obviously folks think it is a POS because that car gets more dings in the supermarket than a hail storm. But it's a 40k car that we take very good care of...I hate black...anyway I have seen folks with expensive cars ding other folks doors and not give a second look, I'm sure everyone here has.

I can normally tell who to park next to just by looking at the car and their job parking.

Hard to tell about people these days, that's why I'll keep my Tundra for shit store runs. Don't even know how some of the dings appear on that truck..lol...I fix the dings and dents and move on...

A nice car = a nicely kept car. It doesn't matter the price..!!

As said earlier, people need to just leave other people alone. Parking out far away from others is doing zero harm or infringing on absolutely nobody - how the hell it is "bothering someone" except in their twisted head.

People who screw with other people for no reason except to irritate them have a mental problem. I think they need the shit beat out of them if they are bothered enough over it to vandalize someone's car ... that's my thoughts. :D
I agree. Obviously some people think this way, however.

Reality TV show...buy a beater and secretly video tape the beater next to a nice car and watch the owner(s) reaction.

The last thing I would do is mess with a beater car next to my ride especially if my car is still in mint condition. You are messing with folks you don't know and some may have nothing to lose. You may be a tough guy but I bet you aint that crazy and stupid as the other guy...

Funny any not funny at the same time :)

If I go out of my way to park away from others and a real beater parks next to me, I'm definitely going to do a walk around. I care about my cars, sue me. IF that person parks next to me and causes damage to my car...they might need a tow truck to get their car home...might.

Pulled in next to a 2015 GT Performance package (Triple Yellow) a couple of weekends ago at the local Fred Meyer...he was parked at the back of the lot. When I came back out with my groceries, had dudes checking out Mustang Row...

I find myself being way more selective of where I park at work, too...to damn many trees that drop sap in our parking lot. The first day I drove my new ride to work, I came out to find a losermobile (badly beaten Korean minivan) parked next to the brand new 'stang

Sorry about the dead thread revival, but this happened twice to me in the last few days and I gotta vent.

The other time, the same distance from the stores, a BMW pulled up on my passenger side seconds after I park. Later, we both got to our cars to leave at the same time, but I had my 14 and 7 year old sons with me. The dude was actually miffed because he had to wait as my kids climbed in...with my passenger door inches away from his door. Maybe park a space over next time?...idiot.

It's funny and infuriating at the same time. Their logic is "well, that nice car won't want to dent mine"...not considering that they're probably the ones who'll end up denting the car. I'd say 90% have that mindset. The other 10% are mad at someone with a nice car trying to park away from everyone, and have the "I'll show them" mindset.

I live in a retirement community and whenever I go to Lowes, Home Depot or the grocery store I always park it out in no man's land where there aren't any other cars and since being 54 years old and one of the youngest people in the town, lol by the time any of the old timers would walk out to my car they would be dead from over exhaustion lol!
