I have a 15 ecoboost with steeds progressive springs and would like to upgrade the shocks and struts to lessen the floating I feel. I don't see a lot of people that are happy with there PP suspension but most cars at 2015. Are there any difference for 2016's that would make it worthwhile to find a used set and put on.

i put koni shocks on mine and it completely changed the car, more planted yet smoother less jittery ride. Adjustability is everything

some say there is a difference, but I was looking on Levittown Ford and they carry the same part numbers from 2015 to 2016, atleast for the GT's

I am considering the koni. I love adjustability too but concerned the compression is too stiff maybe and that isn't adjustable. Also considering the FRPP ones. But thought maybe the PP parts would be "good enough ". I should have thought to check part numbers. Thanks for doing that. I'll check the website too.

Front and rear shocks have different tuning. More front compression, less rebound, and less rear compression and more rebound. Rears also have different low speed bleed setting to help with highway chop/bounce. Front struts also have thicker tube for increased rigidity. None of the changes are at all night and day, but improvements.

I have Konis and Im actually considering ditching them, they are a bit stiff for me, lol thats how I knew the numbers were the same from 15 to 16, Ive been researching

They're not the same. The service part number for the rear dampers, for instance, was 18125-L (what I ordered from Tasca parts) in 2015, and 18125-W for 2016 and beyond. Even if you put in 2015 it'll still give you 18125-W as they're not producing the old revision anymore. The engineering/mfg part numbers on the shocks are also different (different suffix).

A friend of mine is in vehicle dynamics for Mustang at Ford, which is how I know what the changes are.

Seems to be several swapping to Konis or the Steeda adjustable from the FRPP track shocks as I'm sure they are better. My car is just a daily driver that I wanted to handle better but it does not see track time. I was able to pickup a slightly used FRPP set for a great deal. They also include the PP strut mounts. Just something to keep in mind if you don't have to have the konis.

This is interesting to see that the 2016 might have different valving then the 2015. But since they didn't change the part number, only the revision, if i were to order some shocks, how would I know I am getting the newest and not old stock with the old rev. Or worse, one old and one new part.

They did change the part number. Please read my post above. If you select parts for your 2015, you'll get 2016 parts. If you select parts parts for your 2016, you'll get 2016 parts. The actual part number on the shocks themselves is different, 2015 to 2016.

Thanks for the info about part numbers. So I assume that since 15 and 16 have the same numbers listed on fords website, i assume if i were to see the website a year ago a different number would have been shown . Also is it safe to think that any used suspension for a 2016 should be the newer parts. Its tough to tell since the part number on the shocks doesn't correlate to the website numbers

I ordered mine from Levittown Ford, Benny was a huge help, I had Koni Yellows on the car, only way I could tolerate them was on full soft rebound, which only helps so much, because the compression (bump) is not adjustable, they were still a bit too harsh for me. the 2016 PP shocks/struts imo are perfect with my BMR Performance springs  btw, when you look up the parts, they list the numbers they replace

Yes, that is all correct. A year ago the rear shocks were 18125-K, now they are 18125-W. This is the service part number, not the manufacturing part number.
