I noticed a popping sound coming from my intake. The car feels fine and is not throwing any codes. Any idea what this can be?

sounds like something is opening and closing.. if it was a misfire or something you would throw a code almost sounds like the butterfly on the tb is opeing and closing .. never heard that before on any car

Yea I noticed that too should there not be one on the other side of the coupler? You can see a small gap. I would try holding that closed and see what happens

Roush intakes don't have a clamp there.

Thanks for the reply's so far i have had a couple mechanic friends look at it and we can't figure out where its coming from. I'm gonna run some logs with lund and see if he can see any issues.

Sounds similar to me like a small backfire up the intake. I think several things could cause this. Lean, timing/bad plug or valve not closing right. Just spitballing here.

Took it a shop today they ran a compression test which came back normal. They think its the timing chain Tensioner.
While their in there i figured i would have them do the mmr opg also.

My last 16 PP did that. Never figured it out. I think its the IMRC valves personally.
