Intake Noise Comparison

All aftermarket CAI will make more noise. There is a reason those designs do not come on the car - noise. Closed will be quieter. Open will be somewhat louder. Air flow is more important than IATs at 150 degrees or below (per PMAS).

I like the Injen intake, too. It isn't butt ugly.

Just a FWIW for those that might have wondered. I removed the resonator off of the front of my stock air box, and it made no discernible sound difference. Maybe it just reduces what people hear outside of the car, like on a EPA drive-by sound check. Who knows.
