Does sound like the exhaust is hitting somewhere, are you sure the motor mounts are all tight?
According to them it seems to be. At first I thought it was the exhaust rubbing up against something, but it seems so tight that it's hardly possible to move them. I brought it to a friend last weekend and he had it on a lift and tried adjusting the exhaust too.

Longtubes do bring out some unwanted sounds at times that the heavy gauge stock manifolds do not. Sounds like you have some drone as well which is not uncommon for many set ups on these cars.

Does sound like under certain conditions it's rattling against the car somewhere though.

Gotcha. Yeah I agree. While bringing another forum member for a ride, I got a little adjusted to the "hum" or the drone, but then again I can sort of feel that rubbing from the bottom of my feet too. May get out a bit and get some more go pro videos -- perhaps going WOT and letting the car sit over the gopro to listen to the rattle/scraping from idle.

They're catted right? Could be something rattling around inside the cats themselves.
Yep they took out the cats yesterday and reinstalled them. It got a little better after that but still extremely annoying.

That bolt and bracket are supposed to be relocated.

I had to "ding" my SW's to clear the steering arm when I dropped my engine. No clearence issues before that. I'd advise inspecting the LT's for score marks.

I can take a look at it for you when I get back stateside.

Thanks man! Having someone look at it this evening and also in the morning -- I'll keep you posted though and really appreciate it man!

They did look for rubbing marks and stuff but didn't see anything. It's a bit weird. I data logged the noise and sent it to Lund just to see if there was anything obvious too, but nothing.

That does look pretty close from my perspective. Not sure why they didn't move it when they inspected it. Would it have left rubbing marks or anything on the headers though? I'll take another look too.

U also have to rember with objects that close and it is close, that the engine moves also, when accelerating and decelerating.

Just want to say thanks for everyone and the tips!

Finally got my issues resolved -- the ones that started after installing the headers. Huge thanks to kris5597 for this too. I spent many hours being frustrated over this constant rubbing noise and even had it at a shop all day yesterday with them troubleshooting it.

So awhile ago when I had corsa catbacks put on, I had the shop modify the bracing under my car to fit the exhaust system (since for whatever reason corsa didn't make this system for the convertibles yet)

Well after going for a ride and coming back, we noticed a lot of marks on the driver side pipe right at the part before the bracing dips down (pic below). After he moved it back a little, no more issues. :headbang: Now the Kooks + xtremes sound just as good as I had hoped they would.

A little hard to look at sometimes but the sound makes it more than worth it. That's how it looked before the headers went in. They were much further back than that after the install.
