How are people finding the summer tyres now the warm weather is here?

I got car at the beginning of Dec and grip was very disappointing (even though I never admitted it to myself), but now the summer is here (and when its dry), it's like driving a different car. Really good grip.

The sticky tyres do tend to pick up every single loose stone and fling against the wheel arches (and I dare say the body work) mind you.

Warm?! Whereabouts in the UK are you?! :D

In all seriousness though, while I haven't pushed mine much yet, grip seems fine.

Driving with like 15-25c that i've had is far far far better than the sub 10c conditions I drove in the first few days of owning the car, was awful at that point! But, can push it a lot more in better conditions!

Yeah, very, very good in the warmth and dry, warm and damp/wet, sh1te. Had a moment today, just trying to pull out from a junction in the wet, just wheelspun and I wasn't trying to push it.

A colleagues brother is a manager at a local kiwi fit franchise and he's offered new tyres at cost, I'll be investing in that ASAP.

Last night I had my worst kick-out in the car, it was about 7c, wet and uneven road, straight line, hit a patch and just went 30 degrees sidewards, TC kicked in, pulled me straight, Girlfriend thought i was some sort of driving god, and I was trying to keep a sh1t from falling out my arse :O

Tyres seem to grip really well at any time other than when moving off at speed and the occasional bit of under steer. I've stopped using the wet mode in all but very wet conditions, and even then I'm not sure how much difference it makes apart from making the car feel like a 1.4 when moving off. I like the bit of sideways action the car lets me have when asked for, if anything I'd like a little more, but too scared to turn the nannies off on a public highway. I'm not sure if any improvement is down to temperatures, tyres being worn in or me getting used to how the car behaves. Probably a combination of all those factors.

The Pzero in the warm dry works very well, reasonably stick, feedback and progressive. Though they still try to kill me on the first couple of junctions every morning as the rubber simply does not work when cold.

Also wear rate is terrible, not gonna see 4000 miles from the rears!!! :(

Wet is still sub parr, but at least when warm they grip better and are more progressive but not remotely close to MPSS for wet performance and still behind in the dry.

There is plenty wrong with them, if I'd not tried any other tyre I'd think they were fine, but I have tried most tyres and the Pzero are nothing special.

MPSS
CSC6

More feel, better dry grip, last far far longer and in wet and cold conditions are in a different league to the Pzero. Yes there are worse tyres than the Pzero and yes there are also better.

I most definetely won't be buying another set, I shall buy a tyre that simply does everything better. :)
