UK Mustang delivery

Ah, this happened to me on a bank transfer & is why I went & did all the finance a few days ago. Can't even spend your own money without BS these days. I know they're just looking after us but there was a minimum 15 minute wait to speak to someone (if it's urgent) & I was due out. Sorted in the end but took time. A head's up for anyone else methinks.



Hah, same here & I don't know if I am or not yet! Assuming PDI was okay, my local is getting her this morning so I've just emailed asking to pick up this afternoon. Bloody working tonight typically so tomorrow would technically be better but if I don't, I just know I'll be down there to have a gander. Would ruin the collection though.... wanna run over to her & drive away in one hit!

James, I was given a estimated delivery date of July 23rd like yourself. Seems far from likely though.

Car isn't loaded on the Tarago yet. Who cares about referendum results, I want car loaded on ship results!

If the delivery date was from the dealer, just ignore it. I was quoted originally
early march, car was built in may so got a revised delivery of 2nd July. I told dealer my car was in Southampton last week, he checked vista, it said July 16th delivery, I asked for chase it up. Its a very slow system and not accurate. I am still awaiting an update to see if my car on its way to the dealer yet. :frusty:

Just as well I didn't book my Gtechniq for next week, spoke to company and earliest booking is 10th august now, hes got 3 mustangs after mine coming in and has asked me if he can video my one getting the treatment as it will be his 1st

From loaded on the ship in Baltimore to collection was just over 6 weeks for me, that includes a weeks fannying about in Zeebrugge and another one in Liverpool, so i reckon somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks for you guys loading today

Ps - Ford vista is still saying my car's in Liverpool - it's less than useless so don't believe any dates it tells you:frusty:

Probably shoot a 6 week estimate ONCE the car is ON A SHIP. Before that you have 6 weeks in which 2 weeks are build, gate release, QC and booking then travel to Baltimore, 4 weeks est in the docks before loading onto a boat, 2 weeks on said boat to zeebrugge 2 weeks in zeebrugge and then Southampton 1-2 weeks. Obviously can deviate from that process as estimates, but that's the general TAT (Turn Around Time).

Yeah, I'm not holding out anything.......... Just eager like the rest of us! Suppose I shouldn't complain as when I ordered I was also given a suggested date of September.......... If it rocks up some time early August I'll be a very happy boy!

Unfortunately the green triangle will stop moving about 30 miles off the coast of the USA then reappear 9 days or so later off the coast of UK !

AIS ship transponders only work in range of the coast - you can get satellite based AIS but I couldn't find anywhere to get that for free so unless you want to pay for it (or know a friendly shipping company ! )then it's back to waiting and guessing :frusty:

The trick is to zoom in very very closely then the ship looks like it's travelling really fast...

Well, that's today out. Even tomorrow maybe. Main dealer haven't released the car to my local yet so they haven't even collected.

Turns out that they haven't completed the PDI yesterday as promised. "should be tomorrow". They got the car on Tuesday but I guess it's just not important enough to spend an hour checking it. They don't even have to do a hand-over cause my local Dealer is picking it up.

Told him now that I'm taking a day off on Saturday and if the car isn't released & with me by then, then I'm driving over there in person & raising merry hell in the showroom until I get it.

May be on the local news getting arrested by Saturday night!
