You would have to get headers from an aussie based company that makes them (Hurricane, Street Fighter, xForce) and marry them up to that exhaust. Add the headers, tune and a CAI while your at it and it's stupid money for what you get. Money could be better spent on a full system from a local company or upgrade suspension and wheels."
I guess the X-Force with Varex full system like I originally planned or the Streetfighter system also might be the way to go.

Those with the Corsa Sports, does it crackle/pop? Havent found any videos of it yet that does. Borla tips aren't the best looking either but I'm still swaying towards the Borla 3"
Hi Unkle Ed,

My Corsa doesn't really crackle /pop in normal driving. But it will if you lift off quickly, or the occasional overrun.

Cheers,

Rob.

Knaps, our Street system sounds like it would fit your criteria perfectly! Its conservative volume is perfect for daily driving, and meets the AU db limit (same as ours here in California), so you wont attract any unwanted attention from the law. You can expect the tone to be a deep, refined growl, just how a muscle car should sound, in our opinion. The huge improvement in tone, without the drone and obnoxious volume has made the Street Catback a big hit with the mustang community!
The Californian and Australian (ADR) testing methods are quite different, so although the dB limit is similar, the Australian test is easier to meet.

EC approved exhausts are probably closer to road legal for Australians than a Californian tested system.

I've just had the Borla S Type cat back fitted and I was shocked how deep it sounded, wasn't expecting it as everyone said it was too raspy.
The Borla ATAK is quite raspy, but the S-Type may be the deep muscle car sound you're looking for... People forget Borla have multiple sound options :)

I'd be interested to know how the Corsa and the various Borla options compare sound-wise...

Read in the Borla website today they supply Steeda - hence the question.

I'm so friggin confused with which exhaust to get.

Want a deep sound with no tinny influences.
Ordered the ARH Catback with Pure Thunder Exhaust via Lethal Performance.

This system had been at the top of my list all along but dealing with ARH direct was soooo time consuming with freight quotes etc. Even their dealer in NZ took days to get back to me.

Lethal Performance had an online international quote that produced a quote within 12 hours. Great service. http://www.lethalperformance.com/

Today I took delivery of "Sally".
Drove straight from the dealer to my mechanic, where we fitted the Magnaflow Competition Axle Back.
What a difference!!!!!!
All four rev heads present were giggling like school kids.
All agreed that it was MUCH deeper and slightly louder, most likely illegal but not so loud that the cops are going to hassle over it.
I haven't turned the stereo on since. If you want a V8 that sounds like a V8, look no further.
The videos do this thing absolutely no justice whatsoever.

Ditto, my order from them was all good.
Then again, there were no problems or weird queries or anything...

The best price I could find was through a Sponsor of the forums. For the cat back quad tip exhaust, rear valance, diffuser panel and shipping came in just under $4500 once converted to AUD. Then you still need to add the import duty and GST, pretty hard to justify 5k for a cat back even taking into consideration the improved look.

I have been given a lead for an Australian Distributor but I don't think it will be much cheaper as the only place they can maybe save us some dollars will be on the shipping.

The Roush alternative doesn't really do anything for me but they are cheapest option if your dead set wanting quad tips.

Might be a mod I will look at again if the dollar ever comes close to parity but I feel I will be waiting an awful long time.
Try www.ponyparts.design
they had that system for under $3500 if I remember correctly

Hi knaps, as @Aus-MustangGT , and @Melbnut have mentioned I cannot recommend the Corsa Sport more highly. I have 8k on my car, and still get a buzz listening to it. On a cold start it is quite noisy, but settles down after about 20 seconds. It may not be as loud as some other systems at idle, but from 2k upwards it sounds amazing, and has that more exotic sound that you are after.

I went for a run with a friend who has the Xforce catback. Although it sounds good, IMO there is no comparison with the Corsa. We sat at a set of lights and gave both cars a bit of a rev like schoolboys. You could only hear the Corsa, and it crackles and pops when you lift off.:headbang:

I have the chrome tips and haven't had dramas keeping them shiny. I thought about the black tips but couldn't justify the extra expense, and would like to see them in person first!

I'm sure Aus-MustangGT has mentioned Jay from Hypermotive before. But he was excellent to deal with, extremely well priced, and the exhaust was delivered within a week.
aussierob..I am on the Gold Coast and I am having trouble deciding on an exhaust...could use your advice...please ring Bob 0414293110 if possible

Anyone tried the full Hurricane system with ceramic headers high flow cats and their mufflers?
East Coast customs in Brisbane do a deal with this system and cold air for $6200 insurance included
