To make a cleaner connection as to CUT the OEM connector, you can remove the OEM connector, put special electrician tape around it and then leave it behind the bumper.

After that, for a clean installation, you can buy the OEM connector and rewire it completely to a +12v (like papinist said, to the window wipers motor). Same connection for the switchbacks.

Link to the OEM connector (part number - 3U2Z-14S411-RPC) : http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/3u2z14s411rpc

I bought this connector to connect my sidemarkers and from what I saw, it's exactly the same for the front parking light.

So, you can keep one straight white line for DRL and for parking

Ok so the standard wiring (like mine) is what you need

No problem

But from what I read and from what I remember, you will install the boards from DD, right ?

So, I don't call that DRL but "parking light" boards ... :D

Hi Mate, sorry to ask you a simple and silly question. I am in the first stage of replacing all the bulbs to LED in my car. So Far, i have done, Front AU version DRLs, Fog Lights, switchback without switchback, all interior kit.
I am not able to do the front side markers, next to switchbacks. I can take the Grey plug out but not sure how to take the bulb out. I tried turning it anticlockwise, but it won't buzz.
I see you have already replaced it. is there a trick to it. does it still come out by rotating it anticlockwise?
any help will be appreciated.
Cheers

yeah you only have to rotate it (not sure about the direction but I bet anticlockwise). They are hard to rotate doing it through the fender well - for me it was easy since I did it with the bumper removed :)
