The 16' SS has 450+hp @ 3600lbs and change. It's not shocking that show room vs. showroom the SS may out run a GT.

As far as the video and results. I'm very impressed. Def came down to the driver mods on these two. Esp with the GT.

Great video! Thanks for posting.

It's nice to see that a well tuned Mustang with very little in the way of modifications can run with the new Camaro.

I just bought my new Mustang about a week ago. I thought about the Camaro. I know it's a great performing car but in the end, I went with the Mustang mainly because I love the way it looks.

As others have mentioned, the real world pricing was also quite a bit better on the Mustang.

If you really know how to shift fast with the 3.73's then you are golden. Thanks for sharing and good runs. Do you have MGW shifter as well?

Folks, we live in good times. It's like the horsepower wars of the late 60's/early 70's again, except faster and more powerful.

Does anyone know how well the lt1 responds to just a tune and running on e85?

No flex fuel tunes out yet for camaro (since it's so new) lt1 but someone ran pure e85 tune and gained 35whp/37tq..I know the lt1 vettes Dyno 450/470 on flex fuel and tune only

Love to see base GT auto with 3.55's with same tuning against that same camaro. Not to mention the GT weighs 80 more. What where the driver and passenger weights in both cars....?

450/470 is like stock 5.2 lt voodoo territory but with more torque at the wheels. Thats seems a bit high.

Golden times indeed. Now that the Camaro has better performance numbers, hopefully ford answers back. Wouldnt mind Dodge getting in the mix too.

I don't have much experience but from what I research e85 is giving vettes 30 whp and 40tq. Of course dynos vary so 450/470 can be an anomaly or the norm. I see camaros Dyno 410-420 so I suppose 450hp and 460+ tq isn't unreasonable

at the end of the video they compared it to the baseline of that vette, and it was a 24/23 hp/tq gain
