Changes for 2017MY rhd cars

I ordered my Mustang on Sunday, Triple yellow fastback with stripes, Manual, V8, Nav/Reverse Sensors & climate seats. Was quoted 9-10 months delivery so it has been agreed with the dealer to be registered on April 1st next year for the tax change. Also on my receipt/order that the car will be delivered with Sync3 - After what build date will this be included as they mentioned if it doesn't have it they will order another.

You'll be fine for Sync3 as MY17 are getting it and they start building them in a couple of months. Curious how they price a car to be registered from April17 as although it qualifies for lower tax going forward, the first year, included in the purchase price, almost doubles.

Thats correct but my dealer informed me that the price is not locked in regarding the tax, so you will have to foot the extra £900 odd quid for 1st year tax if you want it for the 2017 change.

Thats kinda what i figured as i had to spring for the extra tax as my car was registered after 1st April this year, though that was only about £20

Thank you, I have been a member of MOCGB for 10 years, but this is my first mustang so pretty excitable.

I've ordered through Ford Peoples, Edinburgh even though I am west coast, I did call Evans Hallshaw but they never returned my calls. My order form is based on the current price from Ford. Always annoyed paying the £500+ a year on the car at the moment so will make a nice change - the Mustang won't be much more a year than my Smart Roadster.

Same dealer as me. I didn't find them particularly pro-active in calling but then there was little to call about during the early days. My car was immaculately prepared however. Not found anything to complain about as yet and the new car sales manager is a real character and performance ford crazy...just collected his RS.

He really is, it was the sales manager that sold me my Mustang, I believe that he was responsible for the rubber left on the road outside the dealer from a demonstration of line lock.

Yep, I'm going to do the same i.e. ask it be registered after April 1st
