MY16 cars in America come with sync 3, ours won't until the MY17 released over here. :frusty:

Only some of them; Sync 2 is still "standard" with Sync3 an option on some packages; only Sync3 in all of the MY17 builds from June onwards.

The 2017MY GT will have a f*ck-off V8 and the EcoBoost a kick-ass 2.3T which trust me (if you like) is all you need to know.
I remember back in the day, early 2015, rumours abound on the forum about us not getting the proper DRLs, handbrake on the wrong side, no hood vents. We fretted, but in the end it didn't matter. Nothing matters when the cars arrive.
The one reason to wait imo is the lower tax coming in March17 but personally, i'd just be getting my order in.

It's true... I actually like the handbrake position, it sits so high it'd p1ss me off if it was next to me! DRLs are a bit of a bummer, but I couldn't give a hoot now I'm in the car, same goes for sequential rears, still going to tint the backs and LED the DRLs as the yellow/orang looks SOOOO wrong on the car!

But steve's right, all fears and worries go out the window.

Rant accepted. But just to clarify my order has been in since early Feb. I'm in the queue awaiting a build date to be assigned. The visit to the dealer was me chasing further progress, so the dealer was most certainly not in sales mode.

Sadly the system currently shows no projected build month. So could be either late MY16 or early batch of MY17 for my build. I suspect that decision will be driven by number of orders in the RHD queue vs other markets as there will be less drive to set up the plant for a very small run of RHD cars.

Are you using Karen and Stacey for your system?

Be nice if you could get an early MY17 they start building them early June so it's not too far away. I'm sure there is a RHD build slot for 25th of May. Don't know where I have read that tho so could be complet BS

I've not spoken to Karen or Stacey yet. My dealer showed me the ford vista dealer order tracking system that shows things like projected build month, vin allocated, build plant, gate release date etc. He confirmed that none of his Jan or Feb orders have yet had a build month allocated on vista. Do Karen and Stacey have access to a more up to date back office system, if so, can someone share their email address please?

There's neither rhyme nor reason to it, my order was 2 days after Jimboy's, I had my VIN assigned first although a later number but my build isn't until mid May, over a month after Jimboy's.

I ordered my Mustang on Sunday, Triple yellow fastback with stripes, Manual, V8, Nav/Reverse Sensors & climate seats. Was quoted 9-10 months delivery so it has been agreed with the dealer to be registered on April 1st next year for the tax change. Also on my receipt/order that the car will be delivered with Sync3 - After what build date will this be included as they mentioned if it doesn't have it they will order another.
