Does anyone have any idea when they will start production on 2017 GT350s? I just put in my order and the dealer does not have any idea to when production will start.

2 days at the plant, once you're scheduled - which could take 90 days to several months. The latest schedule still shows 2017 production startup of 6/2.

Yeah my dealer told me first job for 2017 is 6/2

It depends on scheduling. I ordered my 14 gt500 and had it in 2 months. They start production of the 17s on Jun 2nd so there will be cars turned out a couple days later. I bet at least 2500 cars get made before winter. I would think that more than half of the Rs will be built and shipped before the cooler weather hits or by late sept. Who knows...just a guess

I would guess it's a few weeks if not a couple of months before the first 350's are built. Simply so dealers are able to have their 2017 inventory before special models are showing up on lots. Obviously dealers will start or already do know when their allocations are due to be built. Before I ordered my 16 the dealer expected a build in April or May and it ended up 4/18.

Depending on what options you have ordered on your car such as OTT stripes one of these GT350/GT350R's can take up to 4 days to complete.

I don't like the sound of that. If order goes in say next week I would hope that would be pretty early delivery? Hoping for maybe August????

When the order is placed has absolutely NOTHING to do with when the car the car is produced. The big factor is when the Ford Rep for the dealer releases the order for production. It appears that getting released for production is somewhat based on the "status" of the dealer. A December delivery for an order placed now is a realistic expectation. If it arrives earlier then count your blessings. Congrats on your order.

I ordered my '16 car on 6/6/2015. My car has been scheduled for April 25th. Reason for it being so late was because the regional manager, like ShadowBlack said, released the car for processing only last month. Both myself and the dealership didn't want to take delivery in winter months.

Thanks for the insight guys! It's to bad they don't wrap the car when they deliver in the winter months.
